The three-day rule was violated this week!!!! Kidman and kid were in Oz to celebrate Antonia's wedding; Keith was in Nashville. He plays in Chicago on Saturday, the 19th (the day before Baby Girl's birthday - which shall NOT coincide with Father's Day). Will Kidman make it back to the States in time to celebrate her sacred birthday with Keith "My Baby Girl Wife's birthday is more important than celebrating being a Father to my actual Baby Girl Flesh & Blood Daughter" Urban???
Two tidbits from today:
From Lainey:
Her Birthday > Father’s Day
Nicole Kidman is currently in Australia. Her sister Antonia was married a while ago and the celebration is this weekend. Here she is in a sateen jump suit attending a family dinner. Nicole and Sunday Rose made the trip without Keith Urban who is touring. Her birthday is Sunday. The same day as Father’s Day. Which means she trumps Father’s Day, at least according to Keith.
"(Australian Father’s Day is) in September. So, I said to Nic, 'Because your birthday is June 20, we'll forgo Father's Day. We'll honor the Australian one this year, and we'll go back to the American one when it doesn't fall on your birthday. I can't be taking the day away. I'd rather it be about her, so I'll celebrate it in September." (source)
I don’t understand why you can’t celebrate both. I also don’t understand why he keeps calling her “Baby Girl”. Can’t find the video right now because I’m writing on blackberry but when Keith accepted his CMT Award last week he made a point of thanking “Nicole, my Baby Girl” sitting in the audience. His wife the “Baby Girl” is the same woman I call Granny Freeze. That’s just dumb.
And gross.
And really cheese.
That sh-t is a dealbreaker for me. But you know, Baby Girl Granny, she loves it so much. Every time he says “Baby Girl” it feels like the needle is going into her forehead.
Lainey Gossip
And from the New York Post:
I vote neigh on this trend
June 18, 2010 Jarett Wieselman
And all this time I knew Miley Cyrus couldn't be tamed but I never thought to ask if she could be reigned.
But that's exactly what I'm wondering this morning following her appearance outside "The Late Show" theater, where she not only sat down for her first ever interview with David Letterman, but performed "Can't Be Tamed" in these Clydesdale-esque pants.
And in case you thought, "bah, she's just bein' Miley," take heed because Nicole Kidman rocked the same style last night. Albeit in a bigger, swingier, silkier incarnation.
They say three people make a trend, but I'm voicing my dissent before we hit the triple crown in hopes we can reign this look in before it becomes a global phenomenon.

So much indeed for the silly three day rule. She was the one who enforced it to keep an eye on his drinking and womanising. Wanna bet Keith would be very happy to have a week or more away from her at ANYTIME? She's admitted she can't cook. Isn't the way to a man's heart through his stomach?

Yeah, in retrospect it does seem rather odd that the orb would even bring it up...I would have thought such a self proclaimed "very private" couple would make such a convoluted effort to reveal the details of what holidays they are or are not going to celebrate! When normal people have holidays or b-days or anniversaries that fall on the same day...it is rather simple...they celebrate them both! It is not a question of "which one should we celebrate? So why would orb even publicly bring it up...obviously because yes, kidman wants the attention focus ON HER. OR perhaps they are just unaware that its OK to have a "Happy Father's Day" cake for him...and a "Happy Birthday" cake for her! HA! But seriously, it is simply PR BS. There lives are simply a series of inept PR campaigns...at some point it just gets to such a ridiculous level it cant help but point out they are simply looking foolish! Take for instance the recently hyped "3 day rule"...clearly now shown to have been violated! Again just PR BS that is totally meaningless. The orbs proclaimation that he will "forgo" father's day for her b-day? Foolishly meaningless.
Honestly, to tell you the truth, I kind of like the flowy, soft looking jumpsuit better than something skin tight & exposing body parts we don't need to see exposed. It looks dressy as well. I'd definitley wear it if I had the opportunity & I sure can't say that for everything she wears.
The 3 day rule was something they HOPED to achieve but in life, life happens & plans change often. As for the birthday/Father's Day thing that too is life & it's the way they deal with it. Maybe we wouldn't do it that way but we aren't the Urbans. NO PLANS are set in stone for anybody regardless of what they may think.
The "Baby Girl" thing hey it's his thing for her, who are we to question? At least he's acknowledging her in a positive way not in a negative ugly way. He's a guy that "wears his heart on his sleeve" & her name on his arm----so be it, that's Keith. When that wears off in a relationship it's sad, so I'm just happy that they are still happy. I hope 25-30 years from now they are happily married enjoying each other still & hopefully grandchildren too.
No mention of the Crossroads with John Mayer last night??????? I was really very surprised (NOT by Keith I knew he'd rock it) but by John Mayer. He was off a couple of times with his singing but Keith helped him out. Honestly I didn't think I'd say this but as far as performing together they did pretty well. Of course the guitar playing was beyond description (in a good way).
Now on to the rest of Keith's summer. Hope he & his family can enjoy it especially their little girl's 2nd birthday. She is just so cute & very blessed to have the love of 2 parents that can & do take care of her. Hope her life is one of great happiness. Hope we get to continue hearing GREAT msuic from Keith.
I wonder if, deep down inside, one or both of them breathed a sigh of relief at the idea of being away for a bit. Hanging with Antonia may actually be more fun for Nic than hanging with Keith. And having dinner with his friends and enjoying time afterward may be more relaxing for Keith than going home to Nicole.
Yeah, I know we'll be subjected to the usual blatherings of "I can't be away for more than 3 days" and "I so enjoy being with my family," but I really wonder if one or both secretly looked forward to a little R&R away from the other.
And PS: if Keith calls Nic "Baby Girl," what does he call Sunday?
"Fetus"? "My Beautiful, Beautiful Fetus"?
I wouldn't be surprised if Nic called him "Baby Boy" in private. That's what he tagged himself at one time...
Yes maclen, its all PR BS. Keith has little material to work with to promote his "wife" these days so he waives Father's Day. And that did reach a ridiculous level. Its a good thing Sunday doesn't share NK's birthday! Poor child would have to celebrate on a different day just so her mother could feel special.
To your other points, NK doesn't have an original thought. That three day rule came from the Cruise/Kidman marriage. Only it was a two week rule then because Tom no doubt knew that taking it down to three days would seem ridiculous and more like a stort leash than anything romantic. Baby girl is also from the Cruise/Kidman days, only he called her his "little girl". (Which was also pretty ridiculous considering that shes six feet tall and towers over her husband and ex-husband!)
So, when it rains it pours...the PR BS that is...

Nicole Kidman: Pregnant or just unfit, what does her belly bump indicate?
...plus 3 other new stories littering the nets! Of course, the photo they are all refering to is this one...
http://www.countrymusictattletale.com/2010/06/08/photo-of-the-day-keith-urban-nicole-kidman-out-for-brunch
Photo of the Day: Keith Urban & Nicole Kidman Out for Brunch
...which came out June 8th...11 days ago... I even mentioned last week when I noticed it...not even a "is she expecting" story! But now suddenly, almost TWO WEEKS later, there are a rash of stories...I clearly see the moronic work of "inept team kidman!" I guess the orb promoting kidman's b-day was not enough...she needs her peeps to spread this manure onto the tubes!
I hear you Joy, but then Keith and Nicole should just keep the private arrangements to themselves and not keep putting out snippets of their personal world to tease the fans and the media or use it as positive PR to forward their careers or gain kudos for their persona: that is why everyone is taking the p*ss.
We know now that Nicole spoke of 'cutting back on work' or 'retiring' etc etc simply to save face when the critics were scathing toward her last year. It was expedient for her at the time and I think it is disingenious to use her family and personal/private life as leverage for her career, especially when it looks slim. She quite simply has egg on her face now.
None of this went on while she was married to Tom; because she didn't blabber all over the place. Maybe it was Tom's controlling, but it worked for her then as she was an enigma then and the mystique around her catapulted her to the heady glory days now long gone. It is perhaps why she is constantly shilling family now. Don't forget, she's virtually always been married, 'in love' and had children, so it's hardly something new to her, just convenient grist for the mill.
Maybe the baby rumors are circulating because she has heard rumors they may yank the HBO and Nic Cage movies?
Or, keep in mind, sis is pregnant.
I didn't know little girl was what Tommy boy called her, it fits, this makes more sense now, still upsets the stomach, but it makes more sense. KU called him self little boy, was this in connection with baby girl? Give me a minute to get a barf bag before you answer.
Tell your dad you love him, everyone!
Keith signed himself "Baby Boy" in a public letter to his mom. He was a grown man at the time.
This was pre-Kidman.
Well Nicole's birthday is Easter sunday... so in my opinion, that day should belong to her; we'll just find another day to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Btw, she does not look pregnant in that photo. Wtf?
Keith signed a note to his parents (or just his mum) "baby boy" because a full size cardboard cut out of him had been stollen by a fan, and when they got it back, he wrote a note to his folks on it (I think) as if he'd been kidnapped, and signed it 'baby boy' ... that was because Sugarland had just had a huge hit with a song about a young country singer who went from no one to a famous and successful singer, and in the song sent a note to her folks, signing it 'baby girl'. I think that's why he signed it like that because of the song that was #1 at the time.
Laura, doesn't seem like a smart PR move for Keith. There must be lots of women who have birthdays on Father's day who might take offense to what he said.

Yes, in his wisdom...the orb has adopted another rather excruciatingly "groan" inducing affectation...calling his 43 year old wife "baby girl"..but then orb is simply just another tool for kidman...you know, like botox...lip injections, breast and cheek implants...all a concerted attempt for her to clutch at her long lost youth! Certainly this... the perception of being whipped and not to mention orb drenching himself with the napalm...it all helps explain why he has lost over two thirds of his former fanbase.
Even though his wife won't be wishing him one, I will - Happy Father's Day Keith!
I don't give a damn if it is his wife's birthday today! I hope she is locked away in her bedroom sulking because she is the big 43 today!

He promotes her at every opportunity!
Well, well, well, here's one more to add to NKism (Nikuism)...the book of dumb quotes / gibberish by a granny celebrity.... (s**t, this moron is full of these, best not to speak at all, make that better to be neither seen nor heard...)

Mikki said: "...Keith had the audience sing happy birthday to her at his show last night."
Mikki, he's not after her money alone, trust me, he's truly sick in the head. It take more than mere calculation to be this pathetic. She is above all the most important entity to him, more than life itself, more than himself for sure...better than a cockroach you can squash. Man, I can get used to this real quick, I want one too....
Yet again, mikki, I must point out the obvious...orb really knows how to pick em...first its association with "box office poison" and now failed actor kidman...collaberation with Napalm "white supremacist Penis" mayer. Next up for orb is a commercial with tiger woods...he gets jesse james to build him a chopper he'll unveil at a live gig...and then it's as "celeb spokesman" for British Petroleum!

Yeah, hoosier, this shows my initial reaction when I heard the orb was going to open for the Eagles...and apparently, the Dixie chicks! The orb fansies MAY believe that orb is still "hot stuff" in country...but as I read it...he is still several tiers under the Eagles...who not only dwarf the orb in of course longevity...but also in attraction. And the Dixie Chick's hiatus of a few years from the scene and their "comeback" as a complete band again...clearly relegates the orb to my initial reaction of clear weak link! So WEAK in fact that the Chi suntimes agrees with me...by not even mentioning his "performance!"
Well, maybe they set the line up according to album sales. The Eagles are of course the biggest sellers, somewhere around 100 million in their career. The Dixie Chicks, even with their four year absence, have sold over 30 million. And Keith in his career of, what 25 years, has sold about 15 million.
And by the way, why couldn't Keith go to OZ to celebrate Antonia's wedding? He wasn't performing until Saturday night. He managed to fly back from OZ several times in 07' just in time to make it to the stage. He missed out on six photo ops with his baby girl! Although if you check the Daily Mail he did manage be included in photo op #7 when he showed up at LAX today to greet his baby girl and Sunday. Guess he had to show that they were together on her birthday after that ridiculous statement he made.
Maybe he just had to write and such with the young Sarah B. I see Sunday had to step up to hand holding in his absence.
So, in this edition of "Late Night Musings"...
...so, it's very apparent the chicago suntimes and the tribune...the two biggest newspapers in the windy city...dont think much of the orb! Well, it seems their lack of "enthusiasm" is peeving off the monkeylanders!

So again we get Maclen's view on Keith's career and how everyone is so embarrassed by John Mayer. You might want to read this little article. I mean just to hear the truth and all. Keith is in the top 10 of Rich Country stars this year oh and the CMT awards, which featured Keith and John was the most watched in the channels history.
On Music Row: Country's rich list
Genre's top earners held their own in '09, with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban booking large year-over-year gains
06-21-2010 12:04 AM —
Forbes released its annual listing of country music’s top-earning stars last week and it was a ranking that proved the genre’s biggest names have tremendous staying power.
The top 10 artists pulled in a combined $321 million in the year ended June 2010. That’s up slightly from the year before, helped by the meteoric rise of Taylor Swift as well as strong year-over-year gains for Keith Urban and George Strait. Their gains offset drops for Kenny Chesney — whose $50 million led the list but was down from $65 million the year before — and Rascal Flatts.
Toby Keith landed in the No. 2 spot on the list with $48 million in income. Swift and Rascal Flatts tied for third with $45 million, although they arrived at that number from different directions. The year before, Swift earned $18 million, Rascal Flatts $60 million.
The second half of the top 10 featured Tim McGraw ($30 million), Urban ($28 million), George Strait ($25 million), Brad Paisley ($22 million), Alan Jackson ($15 million) and Carrie Underwood ($13 million).
An article accompanying Forbes’ list noted that country fans are often loyal to their favorite artists for a long time. “Fame in Nashville seems to come with an irrevocable ticket into the hearts and wallets of country fans who, like the heroes of a sad song, are in it for the long haul.” The article offered a rationale for country music’s ability to ride the economic storm facing the entire music industry a bit better than some of its other formats.
“For many Americans today, the Great Recession isn’t going away any time soon, and there’s much to commiserate with in the lyrics of country songs,” said Catherine Fitterman Radbill, a professor at New York University who directs the school’s music business program.
Forbes also pointed to the more than 2,000 U.S. country radio stations as another meaningful income source for artists/writers, noting that eight of the 10 most-played artists on radio last year were country artists. For its list, Forbes researchers tabulated box office receipts, merchandise and album sales, publishing royalties and endorsement/licensing deals.
Record viewership for CMT Awards
More than 10.8 million viewers tuned in for the 2010 CMT Music Awards and related programming on June 9 on CMT. According to Nielsen Media Research, the 8 p.m. premiere of the two-and-a-half hour show was up 19 percent over last year, making it CMT’s most-watched awards premiere in channel history. The show’s performance drove CMT to be the most-watched network in the 8-10:30 p.m. time period across cable in the key 18-49 demographic.
So Taylor Swift received an award this past week and who do we have giving her that award?? Well, my oh my if it isn't the guy she's distancing herself from, John Mayer. I guess the Songwriters Hall of Fame didn't get the memo, that John Mayer is the devil and that Taylor wants nothing to do with him. When you win a major award like this, you do have a say over who gives you that award. There are photos of Taylor hugging John Mayer from this event, if you chose to look for them.
John Mayer presented Taylor Swift the Hal David Starlight Award during Thursday night's (June 17) Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York City. The award pays tributes to promising young songwriters.
..and just to add...lets see...oh yeah...in a edition of "Insomniac Theater 2000"...

Why all the fair/outdoor arenas/fests?
MJDD posted:
"Has Keith mentioned why he chose to do so many festival type events this time around. For those of you who have been to one of these shows, how long does he play? Is he not even the headliner at some of these events? I'm kind of missing the traditional venues where weather is not an option, or paying extra for entrance to a fair."
So, as was the recent case with the NKUseless fawnsite...do I detect a whiff of "dissatisfaction"...or even "disenchantment" with the orb's overabundance of festivals and fairs? As was also revealed in his "opening" for The Eagles and the dixie chicks...and in the monkey's lambasting of the chi-town press for basically "ignoring" the orb's seemingly "unremarkable" appearance...it is very relevent that the orb is clearly getting "dilluted" in these music act heavy fairs and festivals! So much so, that even the monkeys themselves are even beginning to wonder...when did the orb play...and did he open or close the shows? Orb will no doubt get swallowed up in the sea of country acts rotating through a "rotisserie of country "Hors D'Oeuvres"...or more fitting the orb's light and frivolous jingles of "pickled pigs feet and hog jowls!" And no doubt to watered down...or simply loitering festival and fair go-ers on their way to the cotton candy or corndog vendors!
So, let's take a look at the orbs next "festival" gig. Orb's next gig is the 4 day Country Stampede on June 25, the second day. Well, seems the orb is closing the 6 act days of performances. Interestingly, orb is "closing"...instead of darius rucker! And by interestingly, I mean that ruckers last cd, "Learn to Live" released in 2008, has sold 1.3mil copies...compared to orbs last cd, Defying Sales, which has only sold about 850k copies. And also, ruckers cd has spawned 3 #1 country singles...compared to the orb's 2 #1 country singles. So tell me, why is orb closing and not ruckus? It's only logical to reason that ruckus will have MORE people who would want to see him than the orb! Of course, I'm sure an orb fansie will appear to explain that the orb is "the greatest live performer that there ever was...or ever will be!" Yeah sure, a fansie's OPINION always proves that one out! Too bad that the orb being "the greatest live performer that there ever was" hasnt translated into better cd sales...or even as many "orb fansie worshipping" #1 country singles than the newbie ruckus!

Well, with all due respect mikki, I have to take issue with that number! When I first read that, my initial reaction of course was disbelief. And it stayed with me...and after my ruckus vs Orb rant...I just had to check it out. Well, a check at the RIAA website list of top selling artist, I didnt see orb on that list...which ended at sales of 10.2 mil.
http://www.riaa.net/goldandplatinumdata.php?resultpage=3&table=tblTopArt&action=
Again, I didnt see orb on the list, so I checked online and found this orb discography page at wiki...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Urban_discography
...which shows going back to 1991... that in those 19 years the orb has released 6 albums! (only 6 albums in 19 years time...talk about "unprolific!")...and the break down goes like this:
1991- Album:"Keith Urban"-no sales data
1999- Album:"Keith Urban"- sales: 1 million.
2002- Album:"Golden Road"- sales: 3 million.
2004- Album"Be Here"-sales- 4 million.
2006-"Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing" sales- 2 million.
2009-"Defying Sales"-sales (gold certified) 850k.
..so really, officially the orb has only sold about $10,850,000 cds! In comparison, taylor swift, also according to wiki...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taylor_Swift_discography
...has also sold 10 million cds...from only 2 albums...released in 4years time! Again, for 19 years time...the orb is doing even far more "piss poor" that even was realized!
Think as an Oscar-winning actress, Nicole could fake a tad more enthusiasm to be back with her husband? The photos show, yet again, HIM kissing HER.
Could she look more bored?
Hi Mikki
Here are my thoughts on Antonia's wedding. By the way, did you like Gran's blue jumpsuit:
http://nicole-kidman-journey.blogspot.com/2010/06/tale-of-younger-sister.html
maclen, I stand corrected. I have read a couple of times that 15 million (or just under 15 million) album sales number. Didn't think to check for accuracy. Although I should have since everything else about Keith is being hyped for the media. (Like continually calling him a superstar).
As for his tour being a success, why wouldn't it be? He did not tour with the usual up and coming artists as his opening acts. He toured with established artists on the bill, Sugerland, Taylor Swift, etc.
To Taylor Swift, it is rumored that she and John Mayer are dating under the radar. So yes, shes smart enough not to go public with the relationship as it may not sit well with her fans.
And finally, the record viewership for the CMT's. Did I miss something? Where did it say that that was due to the Urban/Mayer performance??

Yeah, mikki, your numbers for the Eagles and the Dixie chicks were spot on...and it was just that that orb number seemed...and as it turns out...was too high! The orbs popularity began to rise in 1999...peaked in 2004...and is now on the wane! And actually, I must take issue with MY numbers! I neglected the orbs G-hits cd...which sold 500k...so it's 11.3 mil cds sold. And again, for a span of 19 years and only 6 albums, it pretty feeble!
Well, there you go. She is affording him the lifestyle of the rich and famous. It makes sense now, (in another thread) how he would go on about her being the godmother to Rupert's kids, etc. (such a tacky thing to do if you were one of them...) He can't be anywhere near the point of not needing money, givemeabreak. He's finally tasting it to some degree from her.... while hers has been free falling for years but does rake in $M's...I think.
Yes smorgas91, she still makes money although not any where near what she did at the height of her career. But then, how much does she need. She made millions from the marriage to Cruise.
And yes, Keith clearly loves the lifestyle of the rich and famous. But these days, the way hes been kissing her feet doesn't it seem like hes concerned that she may give him the boot at any time?
I don't think he is in fear of her dumping him. He just might be in fear of not be able to get out.
I was in Chicago- it sucked that he wasted the little time he was on to
make a video that she probably wouldn't lower herself to look at. The concert itself- he tried. But the audience really was there waiting for the main performers.
Tara, he doesn't look like a guy who wants out to me. Hes the one always sucking up to her not the other way around. I know its his job to promote her but hes gone off the deep end with this "baby girl" stuff. Thats just sickening.
That happy birthday video was not for NK. She could care less. It was just another way to promote her. And as we saw that entire week they were both promoting her to the max because she finally got signed on to a film and and HBO movie. Come on, seven photo ops that week surrounding the news articles about her films. Keith giving up Father's day for her, having the crowd sing to her and meeting her at the airport on her birthday. It was all for the maximum publicity they could get for HER career. So what does that tell you about Keith who doesn't seem to mind at all being nothing but a promotional tool for her.
So, just noticed this...

Yeah, orb has adopted "limo relief aid"...lip service for the effort! Again, as I mentioned, this relief concert is tonight, the 22nd... orb's next gig isnt til the 25th...I wonder what the orb is soooo busy with on his days off?
It also seems a monkey's discontent with the orb's "opening" for the eagles and dixie chicks was voiced a few weeks ago at the monkey site... from the Meadowlands show back on the 10th...

Just as the NKUsless fansie became so disenchanted and disillusioned with kidman's failed career and embarrassing recent choices...so too are a few simians over at the "Planet of the Apes!" And clearly, orb's decision to "open" for the eagle and dixie chicks is from his weakness, and this shows he is trying to replenish his dwindling fanbase. Kidman was silenced in the ending of her last marriage with the simple phrase "Nic knows" I think she learned what her power is, how to use it and when to exercise restraint. I believe she used her power with Keith very recently. My question is why?
Tara, as I see it, NK has always had all the power. And shes the one calling the shots.
Not sure what you mean about her using her power with Keith recently.
Hysterically, on several web sites, many of the fansies were excusing Nicole by saying she didn't have Isabella and Connor with her in Oz, BUT she ALWAYS spends a week with them in CA when she returns from any trip to Oz. Little did they know that Isabella would be photographed with Katie and Suri in New York City. I believe some of these fansies need to be seen by professionals. Why make up such lies to make a complete stranger look like the perfect mother?
Could it be that his announcement of how to spend Father's Day/her B-day was to be a precursor to what really was going to happen, that he'd be excluded from her family scene, or a way to excuse himself from not joining them (could be unpleasant if you're going to be treated like a secondary citizen), or like Maclen puts it, inept PR again. I'm sure because of his announcement, it's raising a lot of issues than intended, like how they did spend this past weekend, some recapping their chronological steps.... And moving on to other issues, his place in her family, no pictures of some family members, (why wasn't his family invivted to her sister's wedding...really, aren't they now relatives?), theirs was a contract marriage, KU's "real" financial standing -- not as comfortable, and other unplesantries in general. I'm thinking, how it makes sense now--given his limited revenue stream--why he can't buy a house in better part of town for his parents -- isn't this what most made-it stars do with their earnings, one of which is to upgrade the lifestyle of their loved ones, like mom&dad? Compounded with all this is her pregnancy, whether the baby is hers or not. All of these conundrums and stuff always surrounded cruise-her alliance, with cruise ultimately turning into a weird munchkin. It's happening again with urban-her alliance (while cruise-holmes is stable), with urban now reduced to strugging, poor, with may/maynot be his real daughter, werido who makes extremely childish pleasantries to his wife, etc. etc. I'd say the common link is her, she's the messed up one in both relationships. It took this long but finally caught up to who she really is, what she looks like on surface (mannequin, not hesistant to go anywhere to preserve herself), her apprently misguided self-image, fake pregnancy (can you imagine anyone trying to pull this off on a public scale??? Yeah, yeah, she could never refute and shutdown anyone who called it fake, givemeagreak...uh, all she had to do was show her stomach, it's pregnancy, people, how difficult is it to prove people who question her pregancy wrong???? Couldn't do it, and to this day, we question her baby's "real" parents.) It's going to stick to this baby, and someday will read about it. Okay, my point is this, she's one weird, truly weird mutton. Aged, and with her looks gone, don't think will be able to get away with stuff like before though.......
Keith's done how many telethons already for this?? I think it's been 3 already. Why does he have to do them all? He gets no credit for what he's done around herem just grief for what he hasn't. I don't know why you'd want him to be there anyway, because if he was, you'd only use the excuse of him of doing it for the PR. Maybe he doesn't need the PR this week.
The fan wasn't disillusioned with Keith but with the schedule of the line-up and didn't like seeing him in such a big place. I'm not a fan of seeing Keith in huge stadiums either. I'm not a fan of seeing anyone in a big stadium. Most people prefer an inside more intimate show. I think you are putting too much emphasis on 3 shows (which is now over) with Eagles. It wasn't a tour with them, it was just 3 shows.
Yall are overthinking things. So he didn't go to Australia with her? So what. Brad Paisley's in London right now and I don't think his wife's with him. Seriously.. That doesn't mean something's wrong with their marriage. Give it up. These two (KU&NK) will not be splitting anytime soon. And I'm sorry but if he wants out so bad, or she wants out so bad, I believe they would have already. Doesn't matter how much money they are getting with each other, they are already filthy rich. They would have ended it already if they couldn't stand each other. They don't need anymore money. They're well set.
Laura, I'll agree with you that this union won't end anytime soon. Interesting that you would put the emphasis on money. You obviously know nothing about NK. Her career is her identity. It provides the fame and privileged lifestyle, and the public adoration that she desparately wants. She needs publicity to stay in the spotlight, not money. And with her career winding down Keith is a valuable tool to provide the PR. As is Sunday, the child she claimed she would never exploit in the media.
Laura wrote: "Doesn't matter how much money they are getting with each other, they are already filthy rich. They would have ended it already if they couldn't stand each other. They don't need anymore money...."
Really, for someone with money, he sure don't act like one...as in total lack of self-esteem, willingness to take a second fiddle to his wife, most likely shoved with a baby may/may not have had anything to do with, captured on some films standing apart from her family lurked and lost like a secondary citizen, ad nauseum. Thought having that much $$$ made you confident, used to getting your way, able to put your foot down, show more intelligence for heaven sakes, be treated like an equal from her & her family, etc.... Something's truly amiss here with your assessment.........

Yes, that is probably the BEST and most logical probable explaination of that entire charade! IMEDIATELY after they got through shilling the bogus "never apart for 3 days"....they spend an entire week apart! And of course, when the time comes...they'll DENY they are splitting up...and then they will split up!
So another possible issue with slipping orb...I noticed the monkey mod of monkeyland speculating on the orb's next album when responding to the "Why all the fair/outdoor arenas/fests? thread...

As the fansies themselves point out that orb's usual album output, at least in the past 8 years has been a album every 2 years...EXCEPT...in one instance. After orb released his Whole Crazy cd in 2006...a year later he released the greatest hits cd. Of course the "conventional" wisdom here at UM was that they released the G-hits cd because the Whole Crazy cd was selling so poorly...certainly in comparison to his previous cd, Be Here. So clearly, IF orb DOES turn out to release his next album at the end of THIS year...only a year after his last one...it will be because Defying Sales is selling so badly and he NEEDS new product on the market! And as I pointed out in an earlier comment, orb has only released 6 albums in the past 19 years! Clearly the orb is not a songwriting "virtuoso"...so for him to RUSH out another cd in a year...I can only revel in the possible shoddy and inane jingles he will spew out!
Laura, when was the last time you heard Brad drone on and on about how Kim is his everything, his saviour, his muse, his goddess, his breath, his reason for living? That she and she alone is responsible for his life, his happiness, his future, his soul. That his life before her is irrelevant. That it all begins and ends with her.
Because his life with Nic, says Keith, is perfect. And the marriage is perfect, And their home life is perfect. And being a parent is perfect. And the baby is perfect. And their careers are perfect. And every new day is simply perfect.
Forgive me, Laura, I misquoted. Actually, Keith has said that everything is (pace, Ray Stevens) "beautiful."
Think hard, Laura. Forget about actually saying something revealing about his wife, when was the last time Keith ever mentioned simply having a different opinion than his wife? Something simple like "I think A, and, funny enough, Nic thinks B!"
It's never happened, and so long as he remains her sycophant-on-retainer, it never will. He's lost both his balls and his IQ points. It's disgraceful how he kowtows to her, and this nonsense of ignoring Father's Day in order to celebrate her birthday solely is yet another example.
Think you'd ever hear crap like that from Brad?
BINGO A440!! There it is, the "perfectly" scripted, typical Hollywood contract marriage. About as real as a Hollywood movie.
...don't forget. That prenup that entitles him to $600K+/for every year they were married (which always struck me weird with no reciprocating clause made from him to her -- you would expect one if they were somewhat financially equal -- obviously not), is likely a good enticer for him to stick around (yeah, HE NEEDS $) Afterall, $600K+ salary, I think, is likely beyond middle management in the non-entertainment working world for US Fortune 500 companies (notice, "I think" and "likely")...not bad for sticking around with an emotionally and metally limited and confused mutton who may or may not had procreated his baby outside her and required playing dad...........
I meant that this year has really been all about Keith. His flood, his fundraisers, his career awards. Kidman has been been doing very little- filming the Sandler film, an occasional awards (not Keith's)
and the promotional stuff for Omega in China and Canada. Keith ends up having to acknowledge Babydull at every occasion even thanking her for showing up to the CMTs...
Has there been anything negative about him in the press?
Kidman has the ability to use her media contacts be it Uncle Rupert or calling a gossip columnist.
Thanks, mikki.
You know what kills me? Keith's unending barrage of compliments for her. It never freaking ends. But I can count on one hand all the times Nic has come out and said plainly just how important he is to her. Her best compliment to date? Telling an audience that they may not be familiar with him, but "he's very musical."
Funny, she has spoken occasionally about the marriage, but much less about him. Seems Keefy is simply a means to an end. Nic was desperate to marry, and nearly roped poor Lenny Kravitz into it. She was seriously considering her subsequent lover, Steven Bing (gad!), when he cut out completely in March 2005. That left Keith, still achey from his breakup with Niki Taylor.
With her beloved Tom jumping couches for his new, younger lover, Nic had to marry somebody...anybody. She couldn't continue to look like an aging throw-away.
She hooked up with Keith the following month.
PS: She's been more complimentary toward Baz and more engaged in his work than toward Keith. Around the time of promoting "Australia," it became rather obvious. She blathered on and on about her soul mate Baz, but gave cursory mentions of Keith. Like I said, Keith is simply a means to an end. If she could return to Tom, she'd do so in a heartbeat.
smorgas, keep in mind that when they married, Nic was worth upwards of $200 million (in large part due to her divorce settlement) and Keith could only dream of a sum like that.
But Keith is a pragmatic, expedient man on many levels, and a Hollywood-connected wife with $200 mill on tap was just the ticket.
He'd just...um...ignore all her other baggage...
At least they look 'normal' when they are together. Tom and Katie always look miserable and Suri is also unkept.

I truly think that's your ticket. She's either got something big, or he's just a blathering idiot.
Either way, after awhile, wouldn't you finally get fed up and figure, go for it and take what ever is waiting just to be free and yourself again? If for no other reason than not to have to carry a purse in public?
Kikakika said: "...Suri is also unkept (sic)"
Are you kidding me?! That's a haute coutured, spoiled rotten (more recent pictures show her very tempermental), scary fasionista in the making!!!!!
Also, tom&kate looking miserable, that's because they both seem to be really working hard, including Broadway, etc. you know, those roles that take stamina and rehersals on top of being the mom for the lady...unlike "see how I look like" acting chops of his previous wife, God, she could never function in those roles that take rigors & intelligence outta ya....
Do they, kikakika? Do they look normal? All I have to do is remember the "frisky" photo, where Nic had her beloved and betrothed clenched under her armpit.
And him on tiptoe, no less.
http://www.celebrity-gossip.net/celebrity_gallery/image_full/212987
kikakika, ever seen the pictures of NK when shes in Nashville? Shes the one who looks (in your words)"unkept".
...btw, as posted on 6/23, 1:48 PM by A440 what actually had happened to steve bings affair, the one ended in March 2005? Really interested in this one, aaaaaaaaaaaaa, here's a man who seems like would not take s**t from anybody...was this an affair or platonic? ...coulda given the skinny cow a run for her money!
Bing was the guy who denied his paternity of Liz Hurley's baby until she sued him and was able to prove it. He simply did not want to know from marriage and babies, with either Hurley or Kidman. After dating him on and off for several months, Nic pushed for a commitment as late as March 05, when both took a vacation together in Sydney. He bolted.
In April, she was in NYC filming "Fur." There she and Keith crossed paths somehow--I've heard conflicting versions of exactly how, but there the first real contact was made.
And the rest is mystery.
Gee, I'm sorry - I didn't know making a typo was such a sin . . .as opposed to, oh I don't know - lying about who your child's father is?
You do realize that the TK marriage is also fake and Suri is so not Tom's, right?
kikakika, so the TK marriage is ALSO FAKE. Must be a pattern with NK, being a beard and marrying for publicity for her career. Her marriage to TC was said to be a contract marriage as well. As the story goes, he married her for deception, she married him for the American profile she needed to make it in Hollywood.
Who knows who the actual parents are of either Suri or Sunday. But I don't believe for one minute that NK was ever pregnant.
...some of us try to make reliable, meaningful contribution here to share with other bloggers who have other perspectives and also knowledgeable about the issues surrounding this unbelievably stupid couple...some of us try to expose those that are truly questionable, insult to our intelligence and plain dumb...but, um, you, kikakika, kinda take the cake actually, and please do read into whatever that means to you......
It is fact that Katie got into a contract relationship with Tom. Why would a handsome guy like Tom need to make an offer to a Hollywood wanna-be trying to get her big break to be a Hollywood A-Lister? Compare Katie to Nicole when Nicole first met Tom, and their careers at that point were so similar. If TomKat's marriage is fake, what does that say about Cruise/Kidman? Then look at Keith, who wanted fame and fortune so bad and fast, he could taste it! This contract stuff goes on and on and on and on and on and . . .
Exactly, blue sky!! There are all types of contract relationships in Hollyweird . . . From TK to NKU to Reese W and Jake G. But I just wanna know why am I being attacked (and quite savagely at that) for bringing up Katie? Do you guys have a hard-on for her or something.
Well, if you do, I'm sure she'd be flattered, as she isn't getting one from Tom - LOL!!
Do remember reading around that time --within a yr after his divorce?-- he apparently was interviewing "(fertile)young" up & coming actresses to be his girlfriend, a few recognizable names came forward about that, apparently some kind of a revolving door deal...one of whom contacted was Scarlett J. with KH ultimately reciprocating & sealing the deal...
Wouldn't classify diminutive tc "handsome" but careerwise KH is doing well considering her career would have likely disappeared if it weren't for her marriage to this tiny crazy middle-aged man....
kikakika, your on the wrong blog. Simple as that. You want to rag on Katie, do it somewhere else.
Why would a handsome guy like Tom need to make an offer to a Hollywood wanna-be trying to get her big break to be a Hollywood A-Lister?
Because he's almost fifty and queer as a two dollar bill.
Tommy boy was married to Mimi Rogers, who promtly gave him an "in", then, he married her Highness, because, if you were alive back in the day, I think those two crazy kids were in love. At least Her most Gracious and Wonderful Queen was in love, perhaps not with him, as much as what he represented, but I think somewhere along the way, she fell hard. Now, he found KatE, and she was the perfect one to bolster his middle aged ego.
Good grief, take some psych courses, no, better yet, MACLEN!!!
I feel kind of sorry for Katie actually. I think she got in over her head here and had no clue what was about to happen to her. Yes, she was an instant Hollywood A-Lister, but I suspect she was infatuated with him and everything was perfect, but has since seen the other side. He locked it all in with a child. She can't walk away from her own flesh & blood - unlike Nicole who wasn't the birth mother. I do believe she does have sincere feelings for Isabella and Connor, and she might be the only adult giving them some sort of stability right now.
I completely agree with your answer to my question hoosierlady, but she was in love with what he represented.
10 years of marriage - just renewed their wedding vows and a sudden and shocking divorce for the wife . . yeah right. PR until the bitter end.

So...the notion that the "tomkat" are a lalaland PR sham marriage...rolling along from one photo op to another...and little suri cruise is a "PR baby" who has basically taken the industry pundits by storm...is actually a "debate" subject is a rather "quaint" notion! Well, to me it is anyway...my reply is...which turnip truck have you fallen off of? So clearly, they are a pr tactic. Now what I so find beyond quaint...and rather bemusing, actually, is the regular Urban "Myth-busters" allowing themselves to be taken off point, and sent on a "besides the point" tangent of whether or not the tomkat is also a "PR marriage"...and therefore that somehow makes kidman and co "OK"...so we should just lay off of them! Well, I agree with mikki...
"mikki said...
"kikakika, your on the wrong blog. Simple as that. You want to rag on Katie, do it somewhere else."
It has been the fansie's goal to attempt to alter the sites focus...by the constant tactic of trying to change that focus...to something else! For instance, subject: The orb's cd is selling lousy? Fansie response: "Everybody's cds are selling lousy" which of course is untrue...subject: "orb is "promoting" kidman" fansie response: "Well, is paisly "promoting" his wife when he mentions her?" subject: "kidman...and more increasingly, orb are "limo ammbassadors" who exploit charitable causes for their own personal PR gain"...fansie response: "Alot of other celebs do charity work, are they only doing for personal gain as well?" Now alot of those fansie responses may or may not be "similar" to the opinions that I have about orb and kidman...but this is NOT the blog I am going to reveal my thoughts on paisley...or chesney or swift or jolie or paltrow or theron's "pr tactics" or charity exploitation or lousy cd sales...simply how they may "compare" to orb and kidman. My goal on THIS blog is commenting on orb...and now that her career is over...far less on kidman...but my focus is NEVER to be taken off the subject by another annoying newbie fansie yammering about tomkat...or suri. Again, this is a orb/kidman blog...if I want to rant about tomkat I'll find a tomkat blog to do that. Again, I wont be taken off the subject by newbie fansies trying to take the heat off of orb or kidman by trying to change the subject!
Hoosierlady's written: "...perhaps not with him, as much as what he represented, but I think somewhere along the way, she fell hard."
Actually, I agree. He had evolved from nincompoop, enigma, newfound respect, retraction, reassessment, possible appreciation; then was cut off. She really had it easy then, with him (was at the top of his game), and stuff unwritten about that she may have had to experience and endure (had made her crazy, yeah...) on her own without him were considerably different. We'll never hear about them but he is now likely represents the best time of her life. She had said recently? like in this year that she didn't regret the time with him at all and would do it again.
maclen, a little insight into NK's movie.
http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118020679.html?categoryid=13&cs=1
Didn't NK always say she chose her roles because of the director? Even some fans are less than impressed with Joel Schumacher. His last few films haven't done well.
p.s. It also looks like NK has some competition with her HBO film as well.

Yeah, mikki...with schumacher and cage...for "start up studio Millenium and something called Nu Image! Shumacher who ALMOST ground the Batman francise into the ground with his ridiculous Batman Forever...(with kidman!) and the the laughable Batman and Robin before director nolan revived it. And apparently, nic cage has a past history with NU Image/Millenium....
2009's Bad Lieutenant:
Port of Call New Orleans with a domestic gross of $1.7mil and $10.3mil total gross with a production budget of only $25mil....and 2006's The Wicker Man which grossed $23.6mil domestic and $38.7mil total gross with a $40 mil production budget! Boy, and add kidman to that box office dynamo and you'll probable get a NEGATIVE box office gross! HA! This IS what is called scraping the bottom of the barrel!
