Going to a county fair... without their daughter?

This photo was on Twitter repeatedly today. Supposedly at the county fair. Without their daughter. And everyone else in the photo is wearing shorts. Also numerous sightings at Starbucks for coffee this morning. Yawn.

Not saying it isn't them, but it sure doesn't look like NK. She doesn't have short hair and her shape is long and lean. Might just be the picture but normally her waist meets at Keith's chest (see the picture on the right, the awkward kiss).

What parents go to the fair and not take their kid(s) with them? With all these Twitter sightings this summer in Nashville, not one has been with Isabella and Connor. Anybody else feel that Sunday and the two other kids are no different to Nicole than extras in a movie?

How many times have we seen a pic that suggests kid is not with them, or mom is not around, or, or, or? Nanny probably isn't far away with little Sunri.

And I'm saying that's definitely them - who else wears pants when it's 100 freakin' degrees outside besides them?

notachance, I'm sure your right. Its probably just a distorted photograph.

It's no doubt a "business" trip for orb...if not a current...or upcoming...it's clearly a future potential gig for him...at the fair! Kidman clearly tagging along simply for the reason...she has NOTHING else to do. And yes, a visit to a fair, or as what looks like a stage background the crowd is looking at says, "Circus"... WOULD be a natural occasion for the ENTIRE family, especially for a two year old... but apparently NOT for tweedle dee and tweedle dum. No doubt in the current atmosphere for the losers...the PR baby is in mothballs.

I agree. It probably was a business trip: Chuck Wicks was performing, and Keith probably felt it was expedient to show his face.

But no doubt the BBP enjoyed herself immensely, trotting along behind Keith at a country fair as he attended to business. Just how La Kidman wants to spend a free Sunday.

But at least she got away from the baby, and that's all good.

Time Magazine/Arts/Music/August 2010:

“Rock Steady” by Claire Suddath/Chicago.

“U.S. album sales have dropped 38% in the past decade – but at the same time there’s more music out there than ever before. In 2005, according to Nielsen SoundScan, 60,000 new albums were released in the U.S.; by 2009, the number had risen to almost 100,000. Factor in the millions of songs being downloaded for free on file-sharing systems or being swapped on social-networking sites and you’ve got a picture of how most industry insiders see the music business: fragmented, lawless and less and less profitable.
Bands like Modest Mouse still weren’t as big as Pearl Jam or U2, but then again, neither was anyone else. Last year, only 11 artists released new albums that received a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America; as recently as 2006, there were 56. ‘There isn’t really such a thing as mainstream rock anymore’ (Scott Plagenhoef/Pitchfork).
“This summer has been a dismal one for many artists – overall ticket sales are down 17% so far, according to industry trade magazine Pollstar, and some tours have had to cancel dates.”

For the record:

I am NOT a “fansie” of “the Orb”, I am NOT in love with him or being ‘excusing of him’, (can’t stand his voice and his music is average at best although I do believe his passion & joy for music is genuine and applaudible), and I am not “frantic”, “outraged”, “whining”, “pretending”, “hyperventilating”, “sympathetic” “selectively and cherry picking criticising” or have my “feathers ruffled”. I am simply not as totally extreme as some and even though I find Nicole a complete (and dishonest) twit, and I am increasingly finding both Urbans ditsilly self-conscious and manipulative to the extreme, I nevertheless will always give credit where credit is due – life is a balance to varying degrees. What I have put forward was only ever my own independent opinion, (which, SM, can thus not be a “lie”, get over it), and I have no interest being involved in (or being dragged into) aggressive schoolyard games like ganging up, being “totally holier than thou"... taking 'sides', ‘breaking people down’, exclusivity, needing to be “proven right”, (or wrong, SM! – now quit the BS about me), nasty tittle-tattling and bad-mouthing & denigation behind my back (SM!!).

Because I won’t be commenting anymore, it doesn’t mean I don’t still have my opinion, or that Nicole (or Keith) is any better off or more popular as a result, (so you gain nothing, SM – in fact, you have two more years of gloating, - mark my words - and then you’ll be eating humble pie, which will make a welcome change from your stealing my words, your incessant backstabbing and your unbelievable arrogance!)

Don’t be surprised nevertheless if Nicole doesn’t yet win another Oscar (deserved or not). Whether she gets to celebrate that alone again is another matter.

And yes, Hoosierlady; Keith’s popularity does ultimately boil right down to sex (appeal). End of story.

;)

That teen Choice award- so cool (I am being sarcastic here)

as for this twit and that twat, they wanted to be seen they were. Why more than likely because of the rumors about him. I do find it weird that all these twitter people had the same blurry photo?? And why won't they take the kid to the fair? Unless the kid is in LA where she lives with her mother and she didn't make the trip.

Damn, she finally got it, and she's leaving?

KU makes US$487K per gig per Wonderall today. Selena Gomez, the one replaced his wife in pre-production Monte Carlo? makes US$100K to sing one soppy song. He's had a few gigs this year already, it seems to me he's not really in need of tranny, hermy reasonably deep though getting shallow pocket...maybe they are fond of each other afterall, seems no one else wants them, both weird, weird-looking, nonconformists, anti-social, limited and inflexible brain capacities (judging from the choices made in terms of fashion, career choices, bumbling PR efforts, professional and personal struggles, like fake pregnancy on her part, etc.)

"Damn, she finally got it, and she's leaving?"

Ha! Apparently hoosier. Considering that those rather "colorful" despriptions abc quoted...or most of them... are mine...and in this case of course I stand by them. Not to rehash this again too much, I'll simply restate...I never noticed a threat of leaving the disscussion by said commentor when tabloid "rumors"...from either so called "respectable" to "tawdry" sources... targeted kidman. And in this case, actions speak louder than words.

"I do find it weird that all these twitter people had the same blurry photo??"

Clearly, the offshoot of her failed website and the orb's declining website...now disseminating the same photo from different twit pages. Twitter, the main "PR source" for the brain dead sara palin...now being utilized by inept team mutt and jeff.

abc, sorry to see you go. I found your "two more years" comment interesting. This union has run its course. Theres little interest in them as a couple anymore. Hard as they try they couldn't be anymore boring. Two more years of the same???

I would absolutely be suprised if NK can pull off a Joan Crawford and win another oscar late in her career. Maybe you know something I don't know???

smorgas91 said...

Thought to win an award, an actor has to have the "right" role in an award worthy movie to get recognition and nomination from the academy, peers, what else for consideration for any professional awards in general...NK can't do either, she's established she can't act, currently box office poison, too aged for the roles she would like to play, unable to shine physically and struggling, lost credibility and in short an odd AU import/export (depending on where you are) or rapidly being reduced to a curious freakshow in US/Hollyweird...she liked starring in odd movies (fur, birth, danish girl, etc.) well she had justified why that was now......

If there's very little interest in this couple, if they are boring, if you don't like his voice or his songs or her movies, if she's a twit and he's a twat, then WHY so much devotion to them? WHY follow them and report on them? Find something or someone who interests you.

Amen, santa fe.

Is there some rule that you can only discuss celebrities that you worship or idolize? And what the hell are you doing here telling people what to do? Mind your own business.

Oh there's that Karma word again - another victim of the brainwashing done by the Team Barefoot Poet. I hate to tell you this, but my Karma hasn't changed since I no longer like his music or his "partner" in life.

If we are not interesting, if we are boring, if you don't like what we have to say, if we're all twits and twats, then WHY so much devotion to us? WHY follow us? Find something or someone who interests you.

Tara said...

Oh but they are so much fun to watch!

I think Kidman's Oscar was a Hollyweird feels so sorry for Nicole
after Tommy left her. Most critics felt that Julianne Moore deserved the Oscar that year.

and this relationship while tired and boring is still constantly thrown in our faces by him. Why doesn't he stop that? So why not comment on it?

It's all about the love of music and his undying love of baby girl.

so 10 million on a luxury pad in NYC.
Guess if all the stories about Bella Cruise moving to Nashville are true she will have the house or houses there all to herself.

More fuel to the fires that Kidman is looking at plays on Broadway to star in.

Didn't she flee to NYC when Tom dumped her??

maclen said...

Yes...so the orb is consenting to becoming a "New yoiker"...and yes, evidently, a simple "business" purchase...which no doubt will inevitable become just another "real estate" investment.

Anonymous said...

Yes maclen, I agree, just another investment. Who does she think shes kidding? She probably bought it awhile ago and only announced it now to hype her wealthy moviestar image right before Trespass is about to start filming to bring attention to herself. Just more media manipulation, timed perfectly to fit her adgenda.

blue sky said...

Her trip to Haiti is so irrelevant now. How does a woman, who buys a high-rise apartment with a lift for her vehicle, relate to a woman who lives in a tent made out of tarp?

She seems to have PR blunders after every UNIFEM event. Remember when she testified in front of a Senate Panel that she doesn't take roles that portray her as a sex kitten? Then a few days later we get the magazine spread of her looking like a dominatrix, and in the article, she admits exploring “strange sexual fetishes”.

It is time UNIFEM removes this ignorant celebrity from her position.

smorgas91 said...

Yep, she's got a typical frumpy middle-aged FAT A** in full view -- too facial/front focused, forgot all about it -- sculpture your behind NOW!

Kidman has always kept a nice apt in NYC, she simply choose a larger place.

Maclen, haven't had an update from you lately on the sales of Defying Gravity. I found one account, as of June it was at 891,971. Didn't Keith say he was doing the fairs and festivals to reach people he hadn't played to before? Is it possible he was hoping he could get Defying Gravity to the million sales mark before he came out with a new CD?

Well mikki, it's been about a year and a half that Defying Sales has been out...and it's apparent that it's been stalled at that 800+k mark for all of this year. And clearly, his hackneyed "festival and county fair" mini tour is obviously a result of the lackluster sales of DS. Having to come up with another album clearly meant that a full blown tour was out of the question...but because of the poor sales of his cd meant that he HAS to be slogging it out there in front of some people to keep the PR for that cd going. Ideally, the orb would concentrate ALL his attention on his next cd...but he simply can't! The orb is basically caught in a "catch 22" situation... in that the orb needs to have a very "solid" and "substantial" NEXT cd...BECAUSE his last cd was profitably mediocre...but because that previous cd was so weak, he must also be out on the festival circuit which will no doubt take away from his next cd being as strong as it could be! And the reality is...the orb is laying everything rather THIN...a subpar festival tour to support a subpar previous cd...which all will no doubt guarentee a subpar next cd! So to sum it up...as that old saying goes...the orb is a..."Jack of ALL trades...master of NONE"

Anonymous said...

I agree with you maclen. And I think his new CD, (which he says will be out by the end of the year), will be more of the same.

maclen said...

Yeah mikki, I AM hoping..I'm PRAYING that the orb does release his next cd this year. For then it will prove my point that the orb IS fretting over the dismal Defying Sales cd...for as the fansies point out themselves the orb's usual routine is to release a cd every other year. And if the orb rush releases his next cd in the ensueing year means he's desperate to get out new stuff... in a hurry! And clearly, I believe the new stuff will suffer on account of that rush...and as you say...will be the same old same old...a few songs dedicated to kidman...a song for little sunry...and no doubt a song for the flooded Tennessee! But again the question remains...what else does he have to say?

Actually he has done the road to studio bit before- when he made the best record of his career Be Here.
He would go off the road for a few days and record then tour for a few days then back and forth. The records that he took time off the road to record are Love Pain and that whole miserable record and Defying Gravity- he might be reverting back to old habits.

Does anyone know why he canceled his appearance on the Early Show this morning and the Today show on Friday?

Yes, surely his fans are HOPING he can "revert" to his former glory. I do not see that happening. His current "hitched and domesticated" vibe is not going anywhere...but in a downward trajectory. I dont think even at this point if the orb WAS to put out a fabulously reviewed and critically aclaimed cd that it would sell today as Be Here sold 6 whole years ago. Now it may be enough for the orb's fans to have liked a couple of songs off of the whole crazy or Defying sales cds...it's their commercial viability...or lack thereof...which is at issue. Again as ive re-re-reiterated so many times...whole crazy cd sold 2 mil...half as his previous cd...and Defying sales has sold an underperforming LESS than half of about 800+k cds. Alot of crap can sell a tremendous amount of cds...ie: beiber...and past powerhouses of even proven weight and quality can sell a paltry...if their moment in the sun is past. That's where I believe the orb is at the moment. For, even as the notoriously "online and radio station robocalling" monkeyland fansies can still squeek out a few online voted awards or have his country singles slide down the "radio station requests" based country single charts...the one main achievement they have not as yet been able to deliver...even 1 year and 5 months after its release back in March of '09...is get Defying Sales to platinum! But it does make sense doesnt it? Voting ad nauseum at a website poll...or even robo calling radio stations requesting his singles...is ALOT less expensive than going out and...according to mikki's recent post that the orb's Defying SAles has sold about... "as of June it was at 891,971"...buying up about 107,029 more cds to get his cd that coveted Platinum status! I dont think the orb is picking up very much "new fansies" at those festivals and county fairs...at least not enough to make a difference.

Now, those cancellations of appearences on the Early and Today shows...very interestingly, may be relevent to the recent disscussion here...in that, perhaps he canceled so he can get back into the studio and get his next cd ready for release this year?

After a three week absence of any mention of orb in Country Weekly, he has reappeared on the cover. Inside we read that it took an exhausting 2 weeks to secure an interview with his orbness regarding his charitable work, we learn that he and his beloved Nic like to fly below the radar with their benevolent activities.
But we knew all that, (right). What I didn't know, was this. . .

First he said he was fortunate to have had parents that could afford a guitar and lessons for him. Then, a few paragraphs later he makes reference to the fact that he grew up in a "rubbishy house" with a "rubbishy" car to drive, and he and his brother slept on little horse hair matresses in the house that was connected to the store his parents ran.
Someone here knows his history, was this embellished, or do you think this was a factual statement?

Thanks!

Clearly hoosier, the orb not only has a "consistancy" problem...that does not nessesarily span a few months between PR juants...or even years of simple reinvention of a lifestory...but a a "consistancy" problem in the same PR piece! And clearly the orb's attempt to describe his "charitable works" as being "flown below the radar" is just a pretty pathetic attempt to cover some very lame charity work. Kidman's charitable "lame-assery" has been thoroughly documented here on the blog...and now the orb's "work" seems to have been recently documented as the "KEITH URBAN...and friends" benefit show...for the hall...a "private" concert for UN VIPs...a donation for Haiti schools and the occasional check donations to all the current "disasters!" All of which get PLENTY of press in the news cycles. It seems MOST of his "works" recently is the reactive response for the sake of "POSITIVE PRESS" So yes, orb's inept team simply releasing more PR BS!
