Keith sings Dusty Springfield to ...

We'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this clip...

Yep, orb is in the "mutt" shilling game, clearly! Well, definately that Dusty Springfied movie is a SURE BET NOW! ORb no doubt is hoping to get into the movie soundtrack business when his next cd sinks faster than mutts movie career! Now tell me...WHO WOULDNT go to see a film with mutt singing and orb strumming! Well, beyond their fansie site members...and the people WHO DID NOT go to see Nine! Orb's plundering of "classic Rock" is really embarrassing.

maclen said...

...afterthought...

...well, I forced myself to listen to the orb's version in the youtube video. My verdict...the Bay City Rollers sang this song with more passion and far more soul than the warbling orb!

I only wanna be with you-Bay City Rollers

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGD27WgtKhI

...ha! notice how orb has the teased hair and that lounge lizard open shirt to the navel look down pat!

Don't know much about singing, but this music is pop; bubble-gum, formulated, easy to sing, low risk...an amateur can do a better job singing at a local bookstore...blah

Does he have a thought, an idea or an interest anymore that belongs to him? You can't go to a concert without him promoting his wife. I'm glad I'm not wasting my money on this couple!

hoosierlady said...

The farther he stays from the Beatles the better I like it.

Don't worry, he can only be with her soon,

there's Branson.

It's just a freaking song, people. It was less then 2 minutes in his show. There was no mention of his wife along with this song, the only ones connecting the two are here and on the E board but then again, you're all the same people. Not everything has another meaning. I know you all think it does but it doesn't. He sang it to the fans at the last 3 shows of his tour, as a thank you. Keith has always done cover songs that weren't country songs (long before Kidman was in his life). Remember "Free Falling" or "Beautiful Day"? Of course you do and you sang along just like everyone else, so it was OK back then? Now it's just something else you use against him. Keith has never and will never be a traditional country music artist. He's never claimed to be and those who are complaining the most, knew that when you starting liking his music. Again, just another thing you can now put him down for.
His hair wasn't teased. This was an outdoor show it rained on him for the first 2-3 songs of the show and the wind was like that of a hurricane. If his hair had been teased and then wet it wouldn't have moved the way it did in the clip. Talk about exaggerating but that's what's done best here.

I don't like NK, and I don't like some of the things Keith has done lately, but I kinda enjoyed this clip....

Not everything has another meaning. I know you all think it does but it doesn't.

Did Keith tell you personally that there was no other meaning to this song other than his little announcement before the song? If you believe everything Keith says on stage, that means that McHugh was miraculously born in every city during the 05 tour. His poor mother!

Coincidence that he would pick this particular song out of all the artists out there? What about Brand New Man and Romeo's Tune? Coincidence?

Well here is a skeptic who thinks he is changed the lyrics to sing to the crowd on the second to last and last dated of the summer tour.

I have no doubts that Dusty Springfield is probably being played in his house - but that is not her version of the song- that is the Bay City Rollers version (yep I remember them) he was singing Bob Marley earlier this summer and many know he is a big Marley freak. I liked when he did the Violent Femms a few tours ago.
It was sweet and until Vampira says the movie is a go I will believe he was just singing to the crowd. And I will add he looks pretty healthy these days too.

Well...another hyperventilating...and CLUELESS fansie come to vent on all us meanies! Yeah well, I for one cant put up with the ignorance of this fansie! So I'll explain it very clearly and as concisely as I can. You see orb fansie...mutt, (kidman) has been TRYING...for the past 2 years...to get a bio pic of Dusty Springfied made with her, mutt, playing springfield. So, here we have orb now covering springfield. THAT is what the posting of the video is mocking! I know the blog entry doesnt mention mutt(kidman)...I didnt mention mutt(kidman) in my comments...so your obvious ignorance of that fact explains why you fail to mention that fact in your little hissyfit..and you seem to be under the sole impression that we are razzing orb for simply doing cover songs! And it IS ALOT more cover songs of clasic 60's songs that he is plundering now. The Stones...The Beatles...twice...and now springfield. And again, the springfield cover plunder IS FOR THE SAKE OF HIS LITTLE FAILED MUTT(KIDMAN)...who cant get this film made! So now, you have been served...next time KNOW WHAT you are responding to before you comment and make yourself look like a come "dummkopf!"

...seems orb's continuing need to plunder other peoples songs has now spread to his little "BENEFIT FOR KEITH URBAN!"...

...from CMT.com...

Keith Urban Sets All-Star Concert to Benefit Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

""This year we've created a musical theme called 'Heroes,'" Urban said. "I've asked each artist to play one of their favorite songs from one of their country heroes, besides of course, one of their own hits."

So now, orb wants EVERYONE ELSE to plunder the hits of PAST STARS! Clearly orb's need to mangle and cover the hits of other stars no doubt reflects the dwindling appeal of his own stuff...so he feels the need to give his audience a little "PROVEN" quality works! So, who does orb cover? Dusty Sringfield!?

123xyz said...

I am very well aware of the biopic, Maclen. Long before this past weekend. So let me get this straight. Keith, who nobody cares about and no one likes, sings this under a minute and a half version of a song to a bunch of nobodies (oh let me rephrase that because he has no fans, so a small handful of nobodies) and that somehow is going to help Kidman get her movie made?? Really??? Whatever.. As to the rest of what you had to say....Blah, Blah, Blah. Same story, different day. You must really enjoy the sound of your fingers pounding away on the keyboard. Too bad you are a one trick pony with nothing new to say!!! Interesting you have to resort to name calling, Maclen. Usually the facts would stand up for themselves and you shouldn't have to go that route but you've got no facts, so you take it to that level.

123xyz said...

Blue Sky, Keith saying Chris was born in every city, that's called humor. I know it's hard for anyone here to see that when it doesn't include putting down Kidman or Keith but that's actual humor. Just like this past weekend, Keith introduced both Brian and Jerry with a long list of instruments they played including the spoons, the triangle, bagpipes.....humor.

LindaMarie said...

I was at Oakdale Sunday night. He was amazing. His fingers fascinate me. I understand why he sang the song. It was hardly two minutes long and it was about his relationship with us, the song was for us. I believe him to be sincere. Listen kids, I don't like his choice of a wife, but it is what it is and for whatever reasons, he chose her. I believe the song came about because of Kidman's possible movie discussions. He probably thought it suited the remaining concert tour dates. I thought it beautiful.
Despite the fact that he looked extremely tired and he had the audience sing for him most of the night, there is no denying the man is stellar. I saw a glimpse of GR keith and the show was one of the best I have seen from him in a long time. I hope the new CD reflects that passion I saw.

HAHA! The monkeys are ready to revolt! They are anxious and inpatient. And you want to know why? Because they want news of when the ticket sales begin...and they dont want to be left out and miss the chance to get tickets...before they are sold out. BUT, the monkey-mods at monkeyland are DELAYING any info of when tickets go on sale to the monkeymembers. AND WHY? Because the monkey-mods of monkeyland want TIME for their monkey-agents to snap up a huge portion of the tickets to this event...BEFORE they announce the time of sales...so that then the monkey-agents CAN SCALP THOSE TICKETS TO THE MONKEYS WHO COULD NOT GET TICKETS AT THE REGULAR PRICE for hundreds of dollars! Dont forget what happened last year!

http://blog.cmt.com/2009-09-03/all-for-the-hall-tickets-already-scalped/

"All for the Hall" Tickets Already Scalped

"Oh, the horror! Scalpers have bought benefit concert tickets and are putting high price tags on them! How dare they! Oh wait. This is America, where everyone tries to make money with or without a moral compass. So, some sneaky scalpers have gotten their hands on Keith Urban's "All for the Hall""

...and as this investigative report I posted last year shows...

http://www.newschannel5.com/global/story.asp?s=11469165

False Hopes Fuel Keith Urban's Ticket Frenzy

"...announcing that 14,904 tickets would go on sale, ALL for only $25 bucks and all on sale Wednesday, September 2nd, 10 a.m....and that In fact, internal ticketing documents show that, by 10 a.m. Wednesday, out of less than 15,000 seats, more than 10,000 had already been sold."

"And while Urban's people dismissed the scalping as "unfortunate," it turns out that a big chunk of the tickets sold in advance had gone to Keith Urban's Monkeyville fan club."

"Urban pockets $25 for each membership, giving fans -- and scalpers - early access to some tickets.
For the Hall of Fame benefit,we found 12 of those $25 seats right on the front row, scalped at $642 each -- all of them, according to internal documents, allocated to the fan club. Urban's team denies any responsibility for those scalped tickets."

So, it clear why the monkey-mods of monkeyland want to DELAY word of when tickets go on sale! Monkey-members beware of monkey-scalpers of Monkeyland!

123xyz, do you even read this blog? When has anyone ever said that Keith has no fans or that nobody likes him?

blue sky said...

But some fans, who only attend one show and believe every word that comes out of Keith's mouth, are misled by his humor, 123xyz. There are some fans who don't see multi-shows in a row to know it is a joke.

Despite the fact that he looked extremely tired and he had the audience sing for him most of the night, there is no denying the man is stellar.

Looked "extremely tired"? It certainly can't be from his tour schedule. I'm not sure I would be as happy as you are with his performance if you are paying him to sing for you, but the audience is doing the singing "most of the night". I'm sorry LindaMarie, but is that really considered a "stellar" performance? Is he having voice problems again?

...so....

I now proclaim that "Monkeyland BENEFIT FOR ORB Scalping Season" has begun. So good luck monkey-members...getting those tickets for $25-$35 each! HA! Monkeyland and Ticketmaster will no doubt make sure you get your tickets at that reasonable price! HA!

WE’RE ALL FOR THE HALL BENEFIT

I thought it might be fun to actual register at the monkeypost, (although, trust me no money changed hands), so this was waiting for me when I returned from work today. As you will see, they make it very clear, this year, that the $25-$35 "family friendly" charge is prior to Ticketmaster's surcharge.

I know this is alot of data, sorry.

CONCERT RETURNS TO THE BRIDGESTONE ARENA ON OCTOBER 5

Keith and an all-star lineup of friends will return to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday, October 5 for a concert to benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum. Reserved seating tickets, which are priced at a family friendly $25 and $35 (does not include Ticketmaster surcharge), will go on sale Friday, September 17 at 10:00 AM. A limited number of VIP ticket packages will also go on sale on September 17 at www.countrymusichalloffame.org.

The show—which will feature performances from an all-star line-up including Keith, Country Music Hall of Fame members Vince Gill, Dolly Parton and Charley Pride, John Mayer, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert, Alison Krauss and Billy Currington—promises to be a one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime evening of music, friendship and camaraderie.

“Thanks to all of the artists who gave so generously of their talents and their time, last year’s concert went well beyond what anyone could’ve ever imagined,” said Keith. “The awareness and money raised was extraordinary.“

"So what do we do for an encore?” added Keith. “This year we’ve created a musical theme called ‘Heroes.’ I’ve asked each artist to play one of their favorite songs from one of their country heroes, besides of course, one of their own hits. There’s no doubt that this audience is going to experience a really special night – some of their favorite artists doing songs that, in some cases, they may have never even played live before... and quite possibly won’t ever again.”

“Last year’s We’re All for the Hall concert was a landmark for this institution,” said Museum Director Kyle Young. “It was the most successful fundraiser in the Museum’s history, netting nearly $500,000. And it not only set a new standard for fundraising and event coordination, but also brought together an entire community...

“It is beyond gratifying” Young continued, “when the artists we love and chronicle, artists like Vince and Keith, offer us their leadership and financial support. Keith Urban grew up in a home where country music was cherished. He knows the music’s history and its heroes. He is one of country music’s greatest champions and he is one of this Museum’s heroes.”

Tickets to the show will be priced at $25 and $35, (plus Ticketmaster surcharge) and go on sale to the public Friday, September 17, at 10:00 AM at ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster locations and the Bridgestone Arena Box Office. Tickets may also be charged by phone at (800) 745-3000.

A limited number of VIP packages will also go on sale Friday, September 17, at www.countrymusichalloffame.org. To find out what each package includes, head HERE now. A portion of each VIP package is tax deductible to support the preservation of country music

There will be a Monkeyville pre-sale for this show, beginning at 10AM on Tuesday, September 14 and ending at 10PM on Thursday September 16. Monkeyville members will use their unique Ticketmaster pre-sale codes (which can be found in the My Info section of their account, once they're signed into KeithUrban.net) to purchase tickets at THIS Ticketmaster link.

Pre-sale ticketing is for Monkeyville members only.

I thought it would be fun to actually see the crumbs thrown to the monkeys, so I registered. As an unpaid registered guest, of course. This year they made sure they were clear regarding Tickmaster's surcharge.

What difference does it make to whom he was singing?

He sang a chunk of a simplistic 60's pop song. Whoopie! So goes another day in monkeyland.

I just do not understand the signifigance. Did someone finally decide to back the film?

It's US Open time in NYC where are Keith and Vampira??? Isn't this where they like to make out in public? Oops I forgot she is making a movie. Good shots of Bella and Connor today with their father in the Big Apple. Actual pictures.

Another great day in Monkeyville! Another event where the Citizens of Monkeyville are the last to know of an event organized by their great Keith Urban. I keep hearing Gene Wilder over and over in my head, "You get nothing!"

His tour schedule may be on the lighter side, but he is recording in betwwen tour dates. Plus I am sure he has to keep up with the scheduled step and fetch. He did look tired. I am not making excuses for him, however he was more alive musically than I have seen him the past. I got my two hours worth.

Yes...well to quote Mr. Burns..."EXCELLENT"

For sure, mikki, it's also part of my certainty that the orb's cd will tank, beyond his declining sales due to the terrible PR influence of mutt...is this completely inane "dalliance" with the napalm! Since his racist and sexist proclaimations, napalm has been shunned by the media outlets who USED to report on his usual douche baggery. Even swifty who recorded a song with napalm last year, THIS YEAR, after the comments...skipped participating in his video for the song...even when napalm put it out as a single! Anyone want to argue swifty would pass on hyping the song...IF it werent for napalm's jack assed comments! And also recall the 2010 CMT awards, napalm attended... and the photos of backstage and audience....

http://www.gettyimages.com/Search/Search.aspx?EventId=101592914

...shows 7 pics of napalm...and all 7 pics are with reality star dimwit "the situation"! Clearly, no one else wanted to be photographed with the napalm! The revulsion to the napalm IS REAL...it does exist! I used to be a huge fan of mel gibson's Lethal Weapon films...I thought BraveHeart was a great film...but after HIS anti semetic and sexist comments...I wouldnt buy a pack of gum trying to be sold by gibson! And I feel the orb, as the virtual and sole public "association" with the napalm will have a very tarnashing effect on people who MAY have been interested in his stuff, but may be put off by his wallowing in the stence of napalm!

Tara said...
"Poor Vince Gill who started this whole thing stuck in the background again. Mayer??? What the hell does he have to do with the Country Music Hall of Fame? I cant stand that ass.

Well, obviously, tara...napalm does have a "confederate"...or in the precise word's of the napalm...a "confederate D#@K" with influence with this benefit...the orb! Just had a thought, do you think any other performer at this benefit is gonna want to perform with the napalm...or will it once again only be the orb!? What other country star wants to be sullied by the napalm? Something to look for!

maclen said...

So, some more numbers...you know those things that are undenialbly...well, undeniable! Take heed monkeys. Well it seeems the orb and napalm ARE the "two peas in a pod"...have a "karmic attachment" that has bonded them to each other! Look at these numbers...pretty pathetic...but MATCHING numbers...

•napalm's previous cd:

Continuum- released sept. 2006-
sold 300k cds its first week. Has sold 2.2mil cds total.

•orb's previous cd:

Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing released Nov. 2006- sold 267k cds it's first week- has sold a total of 2 mill cd total.

•napalm's current cd:

Battle Studies released Nov. 2009- sold 286k cds its first week- 880k cds total.

•orb's current cd:

Defying Sales released march 2009- sold 171k cds first week- 892k cds total.

Both orb's and napalm's current cds have sold 800k cds...and their previous cds each sold 2 mil cds!
Boy, these two sadsacks are pretty much interchangeable! Who wants to try and quess about how many cds napalm's next cd will sell?

I think your right maclen, Mayer's mouth finally did him in. He may have lost some fans too and is hoping to find a following in the country genre. It was rumored that Swift was dating him around the CMT's but she was smart enough not to go public if she was.

Tara, NK's film Rabbit Hole is finally going to get a screening at the Toronto Film Festival (Sept 9 to 19th). Think its scheduled for the 13th. She'll be there on the red carpet they say. Maybe Keith will go along so they can play kissy-face for the cameras there!

Well, mikki, I didnt buy that rumor of swifty still seeing napalm. If there's one thing in the day of camera phones and "ipod video"...nothing THAT high key could of occured without proof!
Now just an observation...seems this year's line up for the "BENEFIT for orb"...

...are quite different from last years...

http://www.countrymusichalloffame.org/2009-keith-urban-benefit/

"familiar hits coming from long-established stars Vince Gill, Faith Hill and Brad Paisley and from hot newcomers Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town and Taylor Swift.

Seems pretty odd that Hill, paisley aldrean, bentley, antebellum and swifty WOULD NOT want to again appear at such a "worthy cause" doesnt it? I surely get the feeling that IF they DO NOT reappear at this years "BENEFIT for orb"...that THAT would be the precise reason they would NOT want to once again appear! Perhaps the "monkeyland Scalpers" put a distaste of participating this year? Or perhaps the fact that the orb and HIS BAND played the first FULL HOUR of last years benefit? OR that orb shamelessly and callously used the "BENEFIT for orb" live video feed to shill t-shirts and coffe mugs and cds AT HIS FANSITE?" This whole sham is simply a COMMERCIAL for orb! Perhaps chesney had it all measured out last year...he didnt appear last year...and he's not announced this year. So surely if "concert for orb" actually does lose those performers from last year...his cynical "commercial profiteering" may well be the reason why!

hoosierlady, thanks for the kind words. Being called a skeptic is fine with me. And I actually enjoy the angry rants when the fans reach a boiling point. Its a discussion about two celebrities, big deal. Why take it so seriously? But what I really don't get is, I would never go on their fan sites because I don't agree with all the celebrity worshipping that goes on there. So why would a fan ever want to come here where these two are discussed as real people rather than idols?

123xyz said...

Maclen, AFTH was never meant to have the same guests appearing year after year. So to say that last years guests don't want to play again, is rubbish!! Kenny and Keith are friends but they are not attached at the hip. Just because one is involved in something doesn't mean the other will be. Last year Keith got grief for not having any elders from Nashville playing the show. This year he's included them and now that's being used against him. So predictable.

maclen said...

Hoosier, personally, I prefer the moniker "cynic"...that whole "skeptic" tag came about regarding mutt..you know, "bunnies vs skeptics!"

Now, more on the "so called" BENEFIT for orb. Recall last year, I had also pointed out that the orb had co-opted the whole "All for the HAll" campaign from vince gill.

http://boards.countryweekly.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=119256&sid=59288ee4841f77c5531382deef188e4d#119256

"Under the leadership of Vince Gill, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in 2005 launched "All For The Hall," it’s first-ever non-bricks-and-mortar fund raising campaign. The campaign addresses the Museum’s need for long-term financial security and will provide a safety net for the institution and its work."

BUT, what I wasnt aware...is that there WAS a previous "All for the Hall" benefit...in fact...a few other benefits! And in fact, swifty has actually ditched orb's "BENEFIT for orb" and will appear at the "ALL for the Hall: LA"

http://www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/78318/all-for-the-hall-benefit-returns-to-l-a-september-

"The COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME & MUSEUM’s “All For The Hall” fundraiser will return to LOS ANGELES for a second consecutive year. This year’s event will take place TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23rd at CLUB NOKIA, featuring “guitar pull” performances by EMMYLOU HARRIS, KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, TAYLOR SWIFT and a surprise guest."..."The “All For The Hall” campaign launched in 2005 to address the need for long-term financial security and provide a safety net for the institution and its work. This is the fourth year that the MUSEUM has taken its annual giving event on the road, with previous “All For The Hall” shows held in NEW YORK in 2007 and 2008 and L.A. in 2009.

So, now we know why swifty ditched the "BENEFIT for orb"...and it was to simply exit the "glorify the orb" concert...and to appear at a PURE "All for the Hall" benefit. YOU KNOW, benefits that have been going on for the past 3 years...long before the orb so shamelessly and cynically tried to steal the thunder by proclaiming it, "KEITH URBAN....and friends!"
Where the orb tried to shill his fansie site crap...like this...

http://www.keithurbanstore.com/all-for-the-hall-c-81.html

ALL FOR THE HALL KEITH URBAN OFFICIAL STORE

....Where he also tries to shill his fansie site membership...where the monkey-mods scalp tickets! So, it's quite easy to see the crass opportunism by the orb...trying to co-opt gill's work for the hall...the benefits that were taking place 2 years before the orb slapped his pathetic name onto. I'm NOT surprise swifty jumped to the LA true "ALL for the hall" benefit...and not remain with the "BENEFIT for orb" vanity piece!

...afterthought...

...before I sign off tonight, I just had another thought as to why swifty ditched orb's BENEFIT for orb"...along with the obvious of swifty wanting out of the orb-fest...could another reason be that she heard that orb was gonna invite his "bloodbrother"...you know, he of notions of the "confederate" master race...napalm to this orbfest? Could it also be that the stench of napalm may have also soured the desire for the rest of last years alums to participate in this years orbfest? Clearly swifty would skip shilling for the napalm by NOT appearing in the video of the single that she sings on...and clearly, she will NEVER again be photographed or publicly associate with the napalm. I wouldnt be surprised if paisley, aldrean et al...would also prefer to NOT appear along side that stench of the napalm! As I mentioned earlier, it will be interesting to take note of just WHO, besides the orb.... would be willing to perform with napalm? I would be especially interested if, for instance, this year's 9 time CMA nominated lambert would even want to be seen or photographed with the napalm!? I'll certainly be checking gettyimages that night for the first indication of that particular stain to the gathered performers!

You really want to back Swifty. She's just as big a famewhore as any other celeb. She had a showmance with Taylor Lautner (who most believe to be gay) to promote the movie "Valentines Day". She shills in commercials for 2 or 3 different products. She's all about getting face time on the camera. Her doing her own benefit is probably more about not wanting to stand in the shadows of people who can actually sing live (she cannot), like Dolly and Miranda. 90% of Taylor's career is based on how well she can flip her hair. The other 10% the fact that she can play guitar and that she can write songs that appeal currently to young teenage girls. None of her career is based on her singing ability. Go look at her duet with Stevie Nicks and you will see that her career is based on her being a novelity. Having seen her 3 times in concert, I can make that assessment. She's got the tweens fooled thinking that she and they are the same but once they grow up and move on and she's still singing about teenage love and loss lets see where she ends up.

maclen is all about Swift ONLY because she's selling a gazillion albums. maclen doesn't care that she was practically shut out of the CMA's because there's always the album sales to flaunt. It's glaringly obvious why maclen will continue to boast about sales but says nothing to the quality of her music or performances....because maclen really doesn't care.

Keith Urban did not steal AFTH. Nashville was having a hard time finding a big enough name willing to put in the time to coordinate it and do it. That's directly from Vince Gill. So all the whinging and complaining is for naught. The Hall of Fame is calling KU a hero for having the most successful fundraiser they've ever had but you guys have maclen. Nobody is saying what maclen is saying because it's pure fantasy.

The sad part is I know some of you who read here regularly don't debate maclen and tell her what you really think. If she was shown the door you wouldn't have a blog. But I guess more of you like criticism for criticism's sake.

As for credibility, no you guys have none. Going along with maclen's imagination is just one of the reasons why. The other reasons the skeptics have known since 2005.

Taylor Swift is actually extremely talented. So she had one off performance? Give her a break.

Carrie Underwood is an UNBELIEVABLY good singer, and I've heard her sound horrible. It happens.

& A lot of Taylor's fans are aged 18-21.

She's a good role model and worked hard to get where she's at. It's sad to see people put her down. She's such an innocent girl and so far, hasn't done anything to make me believe she's a "famewhore" or fake in any way.

And 13 hours meeting fans? That's appreciation if you ask me.

Laura, don't kid yourself. maclen is not a Taylor Swift fan. She's only on her bandwagon because she's selling the most cds.

Taylor is not a good live singer. Do most 13 y.o. girls care? Doubt it.

Jasfro. . . .The Hall of Fame is calling KU a hero for having the most successful fundraiser they've ever had but you guys have maclen.

Yes we do, and there is reference in the post that makes you so, well, not credible.

May I show you the door?

jasfro, maclen can speak for himself/herself. And I won't address your rant over Taylor Swift except to say that there is one requirement in the entertainment business that she clearly possesses and thats the fact that she is "liked" by the public. She is well marketed and known for her appreciation to her fans and her generosity to various causes. She gained fame through her music, but that does not mean that she would appeal to everyone.

I don't debate maclen because for the most part, I agree with whats posted here. And I respect everyone's right to their opinions. That includes you. I just find it annoying that you prefer attacking the posters rather than expressing your opinion. So what was your opinion today. Oh yes, in spite of the fact that Swift sells "gazillion albums" she can't sing. And Keith is now hailed the hero for doing a job that apparently Vince Gill can't do because he doesn't have a big enough name or wasn't willing to put in the time and effort to do it. Do I have that right? Are those the two points you were trying to make?

"jasfro, maclen can speak for himself/herself."

HA! Mikki, that is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I've made it perfectly clear over the past few years...I USUALLY will NOT engage the hyperventilating fansies any longer...because as you see, it's a debate Ive already had with them numerous times. Just as the failed mutt is no longer of interest to be, these screeching fansies are a total bore. On a few occasions I will mock a newbie...just for a few laughs! Now, am I a HUGE fan of swifty? No...but I dont have to be a huge swifty fansie to see she is far more popular...successful...and FAR MORE creative than the sloth...orb! Just recall the "KISS band" walk on prank swifty pulled on orb during one of his gigs...it's STILL, a year later the most viewed video over at orb's youtube channel! JUst ponder that...swifty is the MOST popular video ON ORB's youtube channel! Even more than orb's own videos! So, does it BOTHER ME that the orb's banshie fansies dont think that swifty can sing? That they think swifty cant play guiter? Not at all. But it certainly does bother them when I point out swifty doesnt want to play at orb's "lovefest to orb" this year...or that no other performer will return to it...or that I point out that orb simply co-opted Gill's work for the hall and slapped his name on it...that orb is burying himself in the stench that is napalm. Fact is, what they say DOES not effect me...but clearly what I say effects them.

maclen said...

Well, hoosier...the reason I came back to the subject of swifty is because as I posted last night, I learned that last years orbfest line-up WAS NOT returning this year. And then I learned that swifty WAS PERFORMING at the "ALL for the Hall" benefit...only it's another benefit in LA. You know, the Benefits for the Hall that were described in the article I posted last night...

http://www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/78318/all-for-the-hall-benefit-returns-to-l-a-september-

"This is the fourth year that the MUSEUM has taken its annual giving event on the road, with previous “All For The Hall” shows held in NEW YORK in 2007 and 2008 and L.A. in 2009.

Now as to the orb being a "hero"...as usual, I'll wait for the numbers. My postition is...the fact that last years line up... which I consider "stronger" than this years line up...and that the reason they are not returning may be because of orb's fansite scalping...fansiesite shilling on the back of the "BENEFIT"...orb's monopolizing of performance time in favor of HIS band...HIS Video feeding the so called benefit "for the hall" at HIS fansiesite in order to sell more orbcrap...and maybe even HIS stence of the napalm...may contribute to a far less "successful" benefit! So, what happens if this years "Benefit" doesnt raise as much as last year? Of course the HALL will be happy to get whatever they get...but if the total is, dare I say...in Declination...it will no doubt be a result to the overly "self promoting"...and mediocre orb!

maclen can you check facts?

Vince Gill is returning. Martina McBride is returning so you are wrong again. Only you would say Taylor not returning is a bigger deal than Dolly Parton contributing. KU stole AFTH and Gill is willing to stand for it? Not gonna buy it. I don't see any of you calling him on it. Typical skeptic crap. Keith is awful and everyone around him is a victim.

To address John mayer at the awards...and I'm sure I won't be able to find it again...but he said he was very shy and respectful at the event, stayed to himself and with Keith.

I know you don't care about anything I post but I also know you don't care what Mayer said in some interview. It's all an act on your part to gain attention for yourself. Its not about KU or NK anymore. Why when we post the truth it doesn't bother you is the real crux of the issue.

You are completely full of it and that's what it comes down to, regardless of whether you believe what you say here or not. You might not care what I say but apparently what KU and NK do affects YOU deeply because you're here posting junk like you have some influence.

I come here every so often to see if one of you, just one, comes to your senses and drops the pretense that you believe your own myths. It's a waste of time.

jasfro, I want to comment on your post about John Mayer. What would you expect him to say in an interview, he was probably shunned by the country music artists because hes so foul and disgusting and everyone knows it. Aside from his "sexual napalm" comments about Jessica Simpson, he talks about his penis, says hes a cronic masturbator, says porn isn't hot enough for him - his biggest dream is to write pornography, etc. etc. After his kiss N tell with Simpson and Aniston he turned a lot of people off. You may believe what he says in an interview but in the business its called "damage control". It was obvious even to him that he needed to explain why he "stayed to himself or with Keith".

So what are you saying 123xyz, that the artists decide who will play at these events??

123xyz said...

No, Maclen has been saying that these same performers have a choice and decided not to play with Keith at AFTH this year?? So if he's such a loser and they don't want to associate with him there, then it stands to reason they would not want to not to play with him anywhere. Yet they are, at this event on the 28th.

123xyz, their all professionals interested in their OWN careers. I don't think anyone knows for sure whether they like each other or not, right?

123xyz said...

Maclen seems to think they know, who likes Keith and who doesn't.

Anonymous said...

123xyz, thats his/her opinion. Just as you seem to think that if they take the stage together then they all must like each other.
