More news from the Muse...

Why don't you just put a Botoxed photo of Nicole Kidman there? He already said SHE'S his muse. It's a bit obvious, too, hearing the music. Don't get me wrong - I like a lot of the new songs, much much better than the last CD. There are some I think I will love live! However, NONE of them come close to the older stuff, when his muse was real love, rather than a love he was trying to convince himself of. Her only only is of herself - how sad for Keith. No wonder he can't write any heartfelt music. His heart must have a huge hole in it.

I don't think his heart has a big hole in it, I really think he feels full up in that department these days - as I stated on the other blog, Keith is still not standing on his own two feet and until that day happens I believe he is incapable and/or not wanting to really invest himself in his music.

You know, recovering addicts always like to have a crutch to lean on/credit for their newfound happiness and sobriety, either it's God or another person - for Keith it's NK. For me, if he were giving that credit to God right now I would still stand behind my statement, the question is - would everyone else here be so hard on him if it were God he named?

I've just finished, for the 2nd time, listening to the album on iLike. I don't hate it, but it's not country, it's pop - and soft at that. Kelly Clarkson's album is ballsier..... maybe Reba needs to take Keith under her wing....

Nope. I don't think God would ever treat Keith as shabbily as has Nicole.

I agree A440. Shabby and second class treatment.

So, according to Variety, kidman has signed onto woody allens next film...

Kidman joins Woody Allen pic

...if true, with the recent epic ginger ale commercial in "production"...now news of another possible production set all lined up. And let me guess, filming will commence this "summer"...about the same time she is to make a humanitarian "vistit" on behalf of the UN. I figured she would pick up another film in time for her "charitable work". She cant "give"... unless she can get some publicity for her next project! Well, so much for their being "other things in her life" besides movies"...not marriage...not kids will ever ever keep kidman off another movie set..despite what she may ever say in a wishy washy attempt to shill for her lousy movies. And being in another "bit" part in allens flick again is another indication "the kidman film" is dead...yeah allen is not exactly known for his "blockbusters. If this is true, then I would expect that the rumored indy copycat Eighth Wonder..the Kidman "produced" Eighth wonder will not be in production anytime soon. As I keep proclaiming, you'll see man walk on the moon again...before you see a Kidman "produced" movie. She is simply desperate for who ever will give her a bit part now....

..ps...

right, almost forgot about the orb...I wonder what this means for the orbs tour...if it overlaps with the filming of kidman's movie? Not that I expected kdiman to be that into the orbs touring...I expect a few appearances by kidman, her usual one or two "drowsy" half-shows. But you do have to wonder if kidman forces the orb to cancel a few dates so he can fly over to the set and hold her water bottle or watch as she tries to "emote!...or more than likely simply stand in for the "photo ops" she gives to JJ or GG.

i agree....just makes him look pathetic. his former muse has left the building and his current one is an idiot. ACK!

This should be interesting! Allen has made it clear he has no patience for extended rehearsals and does not tolerate actors who cannot do the work. And his definition of failure is quirky. He fired Michael Keaton from the set of "Purple Rose of Cairo."

Let's see how Nicole fares with Woody. It'll be a slice of life for them both!

...pps...

...so from what I'm reading about this woody allen film kdiman has signed onto...there seems to be no script yet...but a long list of actors who will star...include Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Freida Pinto and Naomi Watts. Certainly on par with kidman's signing onto, and eventually failing, in films she hasnt even read a script for...I certainly predict, if this film even makes it to production, kidman's well known reputation as box office and critical poison will sink this film. Ha!...woody should beware! Kidman's career is over...and "hiding" in a "star studded" emsemble piece...as she is also doing in her next film, which no doubt was aleady in production before her huge failure in the "all aussie sets...all aussie cast and all aussie AUSSIE" Australia, film Nine...is not going to change that. No amount of "awards glory' is gonna rub off on her just because she is in a "Woody Allen" film...woody who just got pen cruz her recent oscar...or rubbing shoulders with recent awards darlings brolin or pinto...pinto, via slumdog...who kidman is no doubt this minute trying to glean some of that bollywood "sheen" by making a "ginger ale" commercial in India! Kidman will remain the overly botoxed, heavily puffed up lips to repulsion... the even remotely capable facial expressions...laughably robotic of acting skills...I'm actually pondering what color wig she is going to wear to cover her grossly fried hair! Do you think anyone who may actually see her in another film is not going to be looking for the "unmoving eyebrows" and the "ever changing size lips? I guess, again as I say if this film is in fact her next...I quess the dismal failure of Australia did not knock that fact into kidman's obviously deluded and attention starved mind...failure is not a word kidman can even acknowledge evidently...hopely, her bit part in NIne will help in that regard.

Ha! Interesting A440...kidman who I imagine as she herself has claimed, doesnt read the script before taking it on... simply learns her lines...shows up on the set...and basically does what the director tells her. And as Ive also heard from actors who have worked for him, Woody doesnt give much "direction"...I mean, imagine kidman's performances when she is directed by directors she also hand picks...one can only imagine what a horendous performance she will give when she is not directed! But seriously, this story just broke today...and as I commented, the expected actors mentioned to be in this film also, banderas...brolin...hopkins...pinto, I;m just wondering who will shortly drop out of the flick because kidman has signed on? Just as javier bardem dropped out of the lead in Nine after kidman was announced on that film...who will now drop out of this film? Banderos? Brolin? Or will it be hopkins, who has already failed miserably with kidman in Human Stain? As is usual, many changes will occur...and I certainly expect kidman's possible participation in this one to scare off a few!

Maclen,
I just don't know whether to believe any of this latest stuff. I just can't imagine Woody Allen allowing Kidman to be in one of his films. And I think you are right, actors will drop out with her name there. Josh Brolin is on the rise and rise, and he wouldn't want to be associated with box office poison. I wish someone would explain why Kidman gets any offers these days at all. Naomi Watts should know better too who to do movies with.

Woody still has time to reconsider. I'm willing to bet this is all hogwash. Nicole in a Woody Allen film just doesn't seem right, does it:

Yes, that's what I've heard, too. With actors like John Cusack, Diane Wiest, Sam Waterston, etc. (read: theater trained), he's worked with people who are also self-directed. Cusack has mentioned in interviews how Woody would allow him real freedom in his interpretation, sometimes even his own changes on some dialogue, during filming.

But don't kid yourself: In order to work with Woody, you have to crack the code. It can be rough on an actor who needs a firmer hand and/or extensive rehearsal. Woody is known for being so shy -- on set even -- that sometimes he barely talks! That should sit well with Nicole, who I suspect, chewed off the ear of her beloved "Bazzie."

But I must admit I'm disappointed at this news: the only way to get onto a Woody film is for him to request you himself. The man who gave us Diane Keaton at her most luminous is requesting the work of a stilted and unconvincing actress.

Why, Woodman, why?!
