Interesting assortment in that category for sure.

Gotta love a guy who is a proponent of illegal downloading!!!

Looks like NK stopped by the lip refilling station.

Hey, did cletus call his daughter "Sunny rose?" Sad if he "misspoke" his own kids name! The orb should probably spend more time with her. (actually, "Sunny Rose" has a far more "lyrical" sound to it than "Sunday Rose"...you know, the whole "Sunday Roast" bit...too bad the orb wasnt a successful musican or lyricist!) As for "baby girl"...it's actually cute when say, 40 to 50 year married couples in their 70's do it...not so much for 40 somethings.

He apparently calls her Sunny.
But the best part beyond Keith speeding through the paid worship. and Keith negating his earlier stand against illegal downloading (lets hope the grammy voting is done)
nope it was when Sandra Bullock won her award and Kidman practically jumps out of her chair to grab on to Sandy- and Sandy make this face that is priceless!

Funny, I definately heard sunny, but not even a mention at the monkeylanders site...nor have I read about that...now, with the currently "ultra-sickenly sacharine loved up sweety cutsie pie couple..in their 40's...I surely would have expected an entire write up in People.com over it! And yes, it is interesting about kidman and bullock...as kidman's career is now in the dumpster...and bullock is coming off her first $200 mil movie! Do you think kidman could even hope to costar in another film with bullock...as they did back in 1999? Sure, when it freezes up in you know where! ...and I dont mean on kidman's face...

I think it's GREAT that Keith won & I thought his speech was very sweet. The downloading thing shouldn't cause a big "storm" of controversy. Keith just LOVES music & wants all music to be heard by as many people as possible. He was very sweet in acknowledging his wife and his daughter like all awards recipients do , I'm sure. Again, GREAT that Keith won.

Thanks for the clip. It was a lovely shout out to Nicole wasn't it?
Loved Josh Holloway saying he was a big fan.
Sandra Bullock was obviously delighted to see her friend in the audience, the way she rushed over to her was so sweet.
Perhaps you could post that clip as well.

He sounds very sincere on stage, I hope Keith never loses that touch.

Congratulations to Keith! He is such a 'stuck record' tho ... it is now like a recording when he says to NK: "I love you SO much Babygirl" (a petname I find very strange indeed ... I would find 'babe' or 'baby' much more natural) ... he also repeats a couple of times a comment backstage that 'if it weren't for the fans coming to the concerts, it would just be a long soundcheck' ... note he also says he has the 'most fun' when he is touring.

As for Nicole ... when his win is announced, she just sits there frozen with a frozen smile on her face ... she doesn't reach out to him or even kiss him ... just holds her smile and lets him embrace her as tho it is her that won ... it is my feeling that moving forward is going to be a tough time for Nicole as Keith's star rises higher (whether reflected in record sales or not) ... remembering that Nicole got really antsy when the public went more crazy for Tom than for her ...

She really is one lucky woman ... what a run she has had, despite the critical failures of many of her movies ... she has received the highest civilian honours in her country, represents the country for their Fifa bid and has so many family members still alive around her ... despite her being such a guffawing bimbo with being a fashion horse being the thing she is most feted for ... I also think there will be trouble in paradise when Sunday gets older and develops perhaps a stronger bond with her father which I feel will make Nicole jealous ... we'll see. Of course, Keith HAS to publically 'honour' his love for Nicole as it is now the content of his music (lyrics) - so it is a form of promotion for his music ... I would give anything to know what Nicole really feels behind the facade and eternal grin - which of course she also realises is an instant 'facelift' counteracting the thing that happens to our cheeks, which for most of us drops as we age ... anyhow, as I've said; she really is a lucky person! Wonder if she is really happy with her lot.

oh, I forgot to mention that I think Keith's condoning of illegal downloads is really bizarre. While he may not mind giving stuff away for free to garner personal favour, it is a huge concern for artists and record companies worldwide ... I can't imagine his own record company will be pleased with his gratuity.

and another thing, I heard in an interview that Nicole said they had rock and roll playing when Sunday was born because they "wanted a rock and roll baby". Firstly, who plays loud beat-driven rock and roll at a time like that, (I also heard before that she in fact had other music, jazz or classical I think), but I also feel it is a kick in the butt for country music. I think she has always preferred Keith as a rock and roller rather than a country-bumpkin, which is why she is paling on the country life and didn't even make it down to their country property in new South Wales; which I always maintained was bought to bolster the launch of the film Australia - life reflecting art or vice versa. (yes, of course it is also an 'investment', but that alone would not have been the reason for buying the place). Also, I am surprised at the purchase of the 21st floor penthouse in Sydney when reason was given for selling her previous home was that there was no garden for Sunday. And because it was a property she had owned with Tom.

And how about Moulin Rouge being voted the best film of the decade!! I have watched it twice, agonizingly, as I found it to be a highly irritating film, esp Nicole's 'performance'.

I didn't see that love in the encounter between Sandy and Kidman
just Sandy being gracious and being something Kidman should learn to be
an actress.

As much as all the fans want to think that Keith got this because his loyal following voted for him had he not toured with Underpants and talentless Taylor he would not have had the award. It was their fans who voted for that award for Keith. He just wouldn't have had the numbers.

The speech was rehearsed because he knew he was winning the award. I think he got thrown by the heckler in the audience and he went off script when he screwed up on the downloading remark. I am sure it will be addressed or clarified somehow.

One more thought as much as these awards seem all exciting for the stars its just another work day you could tell that with Kidman and Keith. Good thing the Golden Globes let people drink.

Get the feeling Nicole said to Keith "dont forget to thank me when you get on stage". It's a chance for her name to be out there again:

...in this "E o' LAte Night MUsings"...

...well, it's at 99...just one more to go!...

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/nine_2009/

...as for the Peoples awards...so predictible that kidman would try to glom onto to bullock's thunder and grasp a little of that limelight she could not attain for herself...and it's a simple crack about similar hairstyle...what an absolute PR goldmine! And just a quick note on the golden globes next week. Just saw a tv promo by rickey gervais...found the online interview here:

http://www.nbc.com/golden-globes/video/clips/host-ricky-gervais/1185586/

...this is hilarious...

Rickey Gervais: "There just ordinary people...that have had their faces changed."

..would absolutely fall over in hysterics if Gervais were to single out kidman with a crack about her "changed face"!
