A time out from one of our writers...

You probably think we are going to quit writing this blog. Wrong. It’s a time out to you, our dear reader; so that you are assured that we aren't going anywhere. Some of you out there are hearing some speculation about who writes these blogs and some speculation about why this blog is continuing even though it appears that Kidman and Urban are in it for the long haul.

“Bitterness”, “jealousy”, “a sense of power over someone who has power”. Does this sound familiar to any of you dear readers? For this writer, composing the blog is not about any of those issues. This blog, for this writer, is about exposing the crafted lies that are woven around Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. It is not about spreading untruths; it is about making people aware of all the various situations that are perpetuated around these two fame-addicted celebrities. Is that cutting them down to size? Is it hurting two people who want to have a private life beyond their very public careers? Look at it this way. This relationship started because one of the parties felt that the other party would want to be seen with that party in order to become more famous. What happened was that there was massive fame alright, but at the expense of a very gifted and growing career. The fans were used in this quest for fame and have been discarded and used back and forth for the last nineteen months.

This writer is fed up with the PR machine and has slowly realized that both parties live for the fame before anything else. This writer is here to question the PR machine and remind KUNK that fame is not lifeblood - it is fleeting; and to remind the reader to look at everything with a cautious and skeptical eye. Everything is put out there for a reason. This writer is going to continue to expose the fraud and perhaps, just perhaps, help one of the parties involved. What is wrong in simply expressing an opinion?

As long as you keep blogging UMyths, I'll keep commenting. Maybe you should take a break because Nicole and Keith are committed to their marriage and in it for the long haul too.

If you said you wrote this blog for sheer amusement I could understand that, but seriously, James Bond you're not. Half of what you say is pure speculation, your fact checking is non existent. You take this so seriously and what is their big crime, according to you? They like being famous.

My goodness, they should be on the FBI watch list...

In one breath they say its about exposing lies and in the next they say whats wrong with expressing an opinion. Which is it? The ultra-serious tone of the blog is laughable. The writers seem to know nothing more than the average KUNK commentator in any other board. So either they are just rehashing the same old same old to keep UMyths going or they are holding back info. If they truly wanted to expose Keith and Nicole for the frauds UMyths claim they are, they would have divulged something by now to makes their case. But they have not. All they have done is restated what the skeptics say in a completely self-important, self-indulgent manner. The fact that this blog needs more than one writer is ridiculous. Maybe for a drama-filled Britney blog but not for these two. There was no need to alert us one "staff writer" is taking a break. Trust me, none of us would have even noticed.

Personnally UMYTHS, I thank you for what you do. You do provide a fairly resonalble assesment of KUNK. I think you give credit when credit is due and point out the many descrepencies that exist between KUNK. It confuses me a little as to why the skeptics feel the need to question or bash your assesments. Should they have other points of view than yours....start your own blog stating so.
I think the folks that have really followed Keith Urbans career appreciate this place. There are few places that question what has been happening. He has contracdicted himself so many times, one wonders who the real Keith Urban really is. Because who he protrayed himself to be just a few short years ago, is so completely different that who or what he is now. And that my friends is because of one person. Now should this BBP be the best thing that has really happended to him...it would all be so evident that there would not be a need for this kind of blog.

I certainly don't have any problem with individuals expressing their opinion. But like other people on this blog I don't understand this union and so I am curious to see where it will all end up.

But at the end of the day these two are making their own bed and have to lay in it.

I also don't understand a mother who lives in a completely different country to her already existing children and now that she is not working stays behind while hubby tours.

The fact that the goat monkeys feel compelled to constantly comment at your so called speculative opinion and summations shows what a slight impact you are making, Urban Myths. And the fact that the constant recent parade of fawnsite trolls only foretells of ongoing future traffic to your blogs ensure that you and I will have even more giggles to look forward to... But seriously urban myths... just remember....James bond you are not! I'm calling Homeland Security this instance, this blog cannot stand! You are a disgrace to the human race of celebs... who I feel are too famous and wealthy to get their side of their story out, shame on you...hee hee hee...

When it comes down to it, stillhopefull and honest, the fact that kidman's movie career is in shambles and urban music career is beginning to tank, shows that more and more people believe that their PR story is simply tripe, and are not buying any of it. Perhaps if the asskissing mags and entertainment shows would maybe point to them some of these lame PR points, perhaps they would make far more popular desicions. But since they are only into brownnosing and exposing these celebs old and tired stories, they will continue to remain old and tired, and washed up hasbeens.

undecided said...

Everyone is entitled to an opinion is what urbanmyths said. Apparently that doesn't include those who disagree.

It's a shame you have to resort to name calling maclen. Why is that? Because you have nothing else to defend yourself with?

realitycheck said...

A "slight impact" is an overstatement!

realitycheck said...

maclen, why are "old and tired, and washed up hasbeens" worthy of so much of your attention?

doublewide said...

maclen, why are "old and tired, and washed up hasbeens" worthy of so much of your attention

looks like maclen had NK's number for years.....i am only attentive to NK because she has pretty much ruined a good man...used him as a means to her own end. like i said before, show me concessions she has made for the man. it's such a shame, he just won a Grammy, but he is not there. he is most likely holding granny freeze's purse, rubbing her feet, you know, important things.

maclen said...

So urban actually won, doublewide, but urban wasnt there? Must have been pretty weak competition, then huh? So it seems urban apparently passed on the grammy for the granny...or wasnt allowed to show up for his important occasion, but will most certainly be on escort duty for her big night at the oscars...and she isnt even nominated for anything. And people wonder why I or the increasing numbers of former fans have no respect of the "the Urb" or more fittingly, "the Orb"... a formless bland substance just aimlessly floating indiscriminately. All Hail the "Orb" formless and bland.

Congrats Keith!

Ha ha...so I'm browsing at the Movie City News website and they have this web article:
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,23183646-15803,00.html

... in which kidman tries to proclaim she doesnt get paid millions, but only $1100 for Margo..(but doesnt mention what she got paid for Invasion or Compass of course)... and also conviently mentions she took a "reduced fee" for Australia, her next movie flop. So she really shouldnt be blamed for those movies tanking. It seems she's so desperate for future work, she'll be willing to work for free even! Or for only $1100, yeah and a bag of chips for her goat...boy, the stench of desperation is getting pretty palatable with kidman and her failed movie career. Urban would be wise no not take any business or career advice from her, (oh boy, too late!)...or else he'll end up panhandling on the streets, strumming his guitar for spare change...but not certainly for the Grammys.

realitycheck said...

maclen, Keith wins and you resort to talking about is Nicole? I find that very funny. Anyway, we all know she gets paid millions for films that have that kind of budget. "Margot" would require either a lesser-known actress who cant command that big of a salary or an A-lister who is willing to take a pay cut because they love the project. Other actresses did that before Nicole and they will continue to do so. Thats how independent films get made. As for "Australia", i believe Nicole would do what is necessary to get the picture made. If she helped Baz out by taking a paycut good for her. Again, she's not the first to do so. And publicly stating she took a paycut wont garner any sympathy in my view. She has more money than most people will ever see in a lifetime. She has always had a strong commitment to getting projects she believes in made.

BINGO! You win rc...

Maybe you should go because it is all about the music, maybe you should go to support your genre of music, maybe you should go to because it is the right thing to do BUT I guess you don't go because you can't get your wife's face on television!!!!!

doublewide said...

dead on ban botox......really reality check. you've got to be kidding me? the category was for Best Performance by a Country Artist....sorry, but keith did NOT have much competition. when you look at Stupid Boy, and then the other nominees, they pale in comparison. and i really like dierks, jackson, and the others. maclen is correct, keith didn't have much competition.

which brings me to my next point. keith's performance of Stupid Boy only showcases what a great talent he is, and how it is going down the toilet because of the employer wife always having to have it her way.

You can bet she'll be at the Oscars Pole Cat Strong.....pimping her baby bump...and yes, keith should have been at the grammys televised or not! it was the right thing to do, and once again he failed to do it. funny, before he hooked up with her, he always did the right thing....instead he is probably being fitted for some "tom monkey suit" to wear for HER EVENT......

Keith won a Grammy...and it wasn't slim competition. It was a competitive category...check out the other nominees and the songs they were doing. He deserved the Grammy, though. He does a heck of a job with Stupid Boy.

In years gone by, he would have been there. When he won in 06, he was beaming in the pictures of him with his award. This is the Oscars for musicians.

At the Oscars, there are lots of awards that aren't televised. You better believe that those who are up for an Oscar, even in the categories that aren't televised show up and accept their awards. It's a huge honor either way. I'd like to see more awards covered on the televised Grammy show...but they can't cover all the awards...the show would be 14 hours long. So...they give some out in advance, just as they do the Oscards.

So...why wasn't he there this year? Keith used to go to the Grammy's every year...nominated or not.

So this year, he was nominated. He didn't have a conflict in his schedule and neither did NK. Keith wasn't there because his wife wouldn't go...it's as simple as that. He wasn't there because she's too busy pimping her baby bump for the paparazzi. She could have travelled over and let him enjoy HIS award show, and even seen her kids. (I'm sure if she got the photo album out, she'd remember who they are)

She'll be in the US for the Oscars, that I'm sure of...and he'll be there with her. She'll be doing the red carpet, smiling for the cameras, wearing bangs to cover the collapse of the five head and thrusting her pelvis forward to highlight the expansion of her belly. And Keith will be there to hold her hand and support her as she sucks up the limelight.

But she couldn't pull herself away from HER family and HER friends and HER home in Australia to let her husband enjoy his success for ONE night. It was totally predictable and totally shameful, all at the same time.

maybe i'm considering different aspects of the performances that keith was up against. i just don't think it was all that tough. i'm looking at the emotion during the song. i just didn't think the other candidates gave him alot of competition. dierks is pretty close, but IMO, not alan, george, and i have to admit i haven't paid much attention to tim lately....he could have been close. when you look at raw emotion, though, keith had em beat by a country mile....(pun intended)

all that aside, i just watched a short video clip of brad talking about the grammys. he said it is the pinnacle of the music world. he said "it is our oscars"....do tell. and keith wasn't there.....makes me sick and sad.

realitycheck said...

banbotox, i bet they would have put her on camera at least once if they were there.

doublewide, if you have a problem with the other nominees take it up with the Recording Academy. The Grammys dont have problem with going outside the box and nominating material/performances that arent commercially popular. Unlike the CMA's/ACM's. So they certainly had plenty to choose from. Ye they chose who they chose. That shouldnt be held against Keith.

realitycheck said...

I think Brad has it wrong. Winning ETOY is like the Oscars. Its obvious the grammys dont take country music as a whole seriously. They ask Brad to sing Ticks? Obviously they are trying to get ratings but there's so many more songs Paisley could have sang that were better choices.

this makes no sense to my post. i'm not holding anything against keith, except the fact he wasn't there. geeeez, who died and made you the expert?

for somebody who doesn't like UM, you sure hang around here alot.

i do, however, agree about brad doing ticks....i wish he could have done something else

I saw Tim & Faith in the audience several times. Maybe Nic wouldn't go because she didn't get a good enough seat (ie not first row this year). After the disruption she caused last time I wouldn't give her a good (ie camera friendly) seat either.

The point I got from the "Nicole works for free well, $1100 a week" article is not what she works for, it's that Keith should be in the spotlight today for winning a Grammy, a bid deal in the US, but instead the spotlight is once again given to Nic instead. Sad, pathetic fame whore who can't even let Keith have a simple headline without having to get herself attention in the media. Always having to one-up someone, that's your Nic.

Imahick said...

Of course it's all about NK. And I do think that the Grammy's are the Oscars for music. They are the pinnacle for all genres...as Brad said. ETOY for the CMA's is likely the pinnacle for country music ... but when being judged by your peers...we're talking ALL your peers, nothing is of greater significance than the Grammy's.

And Keith was holding his Gramma's purse while she got her picture taken instead of attending HIS Oscars. That's plain sad.

She has taken over his life, his career and now, I see the man who used to have passion for his music being reduced to HER baby daddy and man servant.

He lost the momentum he had in 2005after winning ETOY. He has lost his man card without a doubt... and soon he'll have lost his career. But apparently that's no big deal for Keith, cause Gramma will always have treats for him...a new boat, a ride on her private jet, maybe a new guitar strap for him to use when he entertains at her private parties. It's all good.

its not a mistake that the day after
Keith wins his 2nd Grammy that there is now a story about his wife
Kidman was actually doing press photos for her bomb to be released in the fall...

oh and guess who was apparently sitting on the set drinking water
he should have been in LA..
But who apparently is calling the shots?

You are so right rc...I bet they would have put it on her lots especially if she was wearing that little black dress she wore at the ARIAs but wait she wouldn't wear that again...

don't believe the lies said...

If your nominated it makes sense to go. Even if your category is televised or not. Dierks was nominated for 4. 3 of which were presented at the pre-Grammy telecast. He still went to those and and the Grammy awards. I guess that's the difference between these guys. One loves what he does the other use to or at least pretended to.

Keith should feel lucky that he was even nominated. He's been lackluster for the past few years. I am actually surprised he was up for anything. It's in poor taste IMO, to not go. Especially something this big to the music community. But I understand he's too busy playing bitch boy to his wench.

UM thanks for sticking around and continuing to put your opinion/truths out there. Especially for those rabid bunnies in denial to read.
