Nothing big ever happens in August

August is such a quiet month. It’s summer in part of the world and winter in another. Doesn't the entire country of France take the month off? Yet, while we are enjoying this down time there seems to be something a stir on our Kidman/Keith meter.

Seems it’s just too quiet isn't it? Kidman seems to have fallen off the face of the planet and Keith has been putting in his time at those Chesney shows. We all should be resting up for the big press that will be had when the Kurbans move to London in September, but something seems a tad too laid back.

Do you feel it too? Guess we will have to checks those beacons of stability - that certain fan site devoted to Nicole and Keith's web site. Hmmmmm, interesting but that fan site is down. Has that happened before? Well, yes, in October and December of 2006. Anything big happen back then? Yep.

So I am going to go sit by the pool and work on my tan because I have this feeling I may be spending a lot more time on my computer soon.

Trying to create something out of nothing Umyths? LMAO. Monkeyville is just fine. NKU is temporarily closed because of the mod ...its the anniversary of her fathers passing. But you just had to leave that out of your little blog.

Sorry RC, this time I have to agree with UM. To shut down a message board because it's the anniversary of your father's death? Seems a little melodramatic if you ask me. She's stepped away before and let the board go on, no reason why she couldn't be gone for a few days and let any one of the other ardent fans monitor the site. Something's a little fishy if you ask me.

And Monkeynuts has less than no information on a good day, so that doesn't even count.

Sorry, notachance, but you dont know what the mod has been through. Its her board and its her decision.

A couple weeks ago I tried to sign in to NKU and not surprisingly my account had been canceled for inactivity. When I tried to reregister I got the message "not accepting new members at this time". Was it because they were afraid of new posters being negative about Nic out and about without baybee or do they know something and are getting ready for a flood of posting and only want the regular positive posters around?

Yes, Urban Myths, seems kidman has shut down all Pr operations...the PR pregnancy having been sunk by disinterest on all counts... although the Oz press are doing their best to fan non existant flames on the baby pic issue... (the sydney herald is back again, only this week their pushing that ridiculous 5 mill price tag again...as opposed to last week, when it was 100k..) now the Oz press is beginning to push Australia as a "steamy" and "raunchy" film... boy, that test screening must have especially bad...not only reshoots, but now its going to be shilled as "sodom and gomorrah down under!" No doubt kidman demanded reshoots of steamier and raunchier sex scenes to try and save this turkey... well it sure helped with Human stain didnt it!

I will disagree about that.

It depends who the "her" is don't you think?

If you believe that NKU is ultimately run by Nicole and/or Wendy Day-- then it is her board-- Foxy is just another front for the company line.

Remember-- Foxy had money issues and was going to close the board a few years back-- then all of a sudden she was flush with funds and continued to perpetuate the worship.

Professional people don't shut down business for an anniversary death. A death maybe, but I'm sure that nut over at NKU has other nuts that help her.

I'm not buying the reason. Not that I care anyways as I've never been to that wretched site.

Professional people? Its a fansite, not a business. The skeptics will twist anything to fit yet another dumb conspiracy theory.

Well again, I would gather with the flop of her celeb PR pregnancy... and the hype by the aussie press about her return to Oz for reshoots and droning on about baby pics... seems kidman has gone awol. It could simply be a blackout to ensure that no negative press about the film being truly in trouble doesnt get out... or she wants to hide her kid to try to milk the expectations game with the tabloids...or the toothless and pandering NKU is truly gearing up for an inept team kidman engineered baby reveal... or as I actually pondered, the interest in kidman's artificially and manutactured celebdom of tired photo ops and lackluster media plants, has finally reached the point of absolute maximum disinterest from the combination of a here and gone in an instant pregnancy and another dreary and ponderous... and trouble film... it seems to suck to be kidman right now.

"Professional people? Its a fansite, not a business"

While it may be a fansite, it is run quite professionally. Foxy devotes quite a bit of time to it and is dedicated to making sure everyone has the all the latest information on their girl. She approaches the NKU as a business and to close its doors for the reason stated just doesn't make sense. If we all stopped working for anniversaries of deaths of loved ones the world would come to a screeching halt.

i quite agree notachance. and yes, maclen, it must really suck being NK right now. she's probably getting re-injected with all kinds of crap at the moment. you know, with her big promotions and all coming up for Ugly in the Wind.

she's such a pathetic joke and the hubby ain't lookin to good either right now.

Maclen- she comes in the darkness of a Sydney evening.. can we say drama queen..
Nail on the head you got her down.

don't believe the lies said...

I wonder when she's going to hit rock bottom? When will she realize her career is over? It must hurt to realize nobody cared that she had a kid either. Perhaps next time shes thinking about "getting pregnant" she could call up Brad and Ang and ask if they are planning on the same thing. Don't want another spotlight stealing to happen.

I think Australia is going to bomb. I saw the previews for it and it looks horrible, boring and it's just so hard to take her seriously. Although Hugh does look fantastic but even he's not enough to make me waste my money or time to go see it.

In the past "big news events" were met by NKU just closing down. If it were just taking a few personal days off why not post a message to that effect? "Gone fishing, be back in two weeks" would end all the speculation and rumor mill gossiping. Of course, since NK lives for that kind of stuff, ANYTHING that will get her any kind of publicity, maybe that's why NKU "went on a break" with no word as to why - to try and drum up interest in their idol. Looks like it might be working...
