Beware the power of a blogger scorned - or scornful, at least.
Jeff Apter, the author of an unauthorised biography of Keith Urban, has incited the wrath of fans for his take on the "suburban loner, gifted guitarist, drug addict, platinum-plated superstar" entitled Fortunate Son: The Unlikely Rise of Keith Urban, which is due out in January. The site umyths.blogspot.com, run by a 40-year-old in the US unidentified only by their star sign (Scorpio for the record), blasts the book, which looks at Urban's rise to fame, as either a "snow job" or "sourced by someone with an axe to grind who got crapped on by Keith, and, yes, there are many that can fall into that category".
Apter, 46, a Scorpio from the South Coast, has written biographies on Michael Slater and The Cure. He defended the book, citing extensive interviews with people around Urban, plus a career working in music journalism. Considering Urban's fan base is around 70 per cent female, most of the blog's vitriol soon moves from Apter and back to another target: Nicole Kidman.

Impressive shout out Urban Myths...seems like the aussie press are beginning to notice the counter "orbman" voices... yes...even on the nets. But of course, I expect the impression from the fansies to this mention is that Urban Myths is currently a "pro" orb blog in defense of his "image" ... should we expect a rash of orb fans flocking to this site and find to their astonishment and shock that it is in fact very critical of the orbs current choices regarding his career, music and subservient role to kidman's career? Oh boy... I cant wait for the hyperventilating fansies comments of indignation and insistance's that we all should "just get a life!"...NOT!

Hmmmm UM, not scorned are you? I'd say the hard-core skeptics are scorned, hence the reason for this place.
Am I happy that Keith is aware of this place? No, because I'd hate for him to read the trash written about him & his family.

I'm glad the blog got a mention because it shows the hypocrisy along with the scornful. We get blogs and blogs about how Keith is a fool, idiot, money and fame-hungry, that he now is talentless, and gets all that he deserves when the skeptics go after him and his wife. Then the second a book is being published that may have negative stories (true or not) your backs are up against the wall proclaiming "Poor Keith, he doesn't deserve this".
Another thing, the mention does not prove that Keith knows or has even heard of this blog. Its the same old story. Skeptics over at E! think everyone associated with KUNK read the board, that press releases are written in response to what they say, and that if Keith is in danger some of them can send out an alarm. Its laughable. Its just a poor attempt at making their daily anti-KUNK rants more significant than they actually are. I'm not delusional. I don't think my posts get read by them or their "people", and I couldn't care less if they were. They seem to think they are on a "fact finding mission". If they only had a clue.

Sydney Morning Herald is a respected newspaper. I am surprised they even mentioned that. Not all newspapers and magazines are respected though in Oz. A good example is IN STYLE (Oz version) which has just gone for a Nicole cover again! Help us ...

I love how it came across as we were defending Keith in everyway. The scorned despise Kidmans bad acting, lying, abondoning her kids, lying about cosmetic proceedures.
The scorned despise what Keith has turned into when he sold out his talent to replace it with shallow fame and to become a professional purse holder. And now he's sooo above all his fans.

RC Nobody denies that Keith is talented. It's the fact that he's wasting that talent to be an errand boy for his untalented "wife" that we complain about. Kidman is the one without talent not Keith. He has talent to spare, too bad none of it rubbed off onto Miz Look At Me Kidman

Well Nicole apparently doesn't GOOGLE her name, so I am sure she wouldn't allow Keith too (so I doubt he would know what a blog is). Remember she lays down all the rules in that Household. "Fetch my coffee, wench!"

Blech... kidman's pathetic monroe look is back. Weak when even lohan does a better monroe. Wearing a wig is one thing, but to wear one that is so comically and ridiculously obvious is another thing. She must be showing off her latest test for a halloween costume.
