It's My Concert, and I'll Cry If I Want To

I watched a film of the Lexington concert this afternoon and while it’s not the best that I have seen on this tour, that IMO would be Moline in July of 07, it isn't the worst either. What made this concert noteworthy was that it was the last concert of this tour. The end, finally of the Love Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing tour. Eighteen months of Keith Urban having to support those weak songs with a tour based on falsehoods and diversions; pushing the marriage as much or more than the music. Well, it paid the bills. It kept Keith on a schedule. It got people to see him and he got to play music. He does do that well. Even if the music is poor he can play. Mostly it was done to remind the world that Keith Urban is married to Nicole Kidman and he can play music. The dedication was always fun to watch. If there was no chance of a reporter around or Kidman nearby the dedication was hurried and quick. It fell into the drone of the all too familiar, “Hello, Dayton! It's good to be here tonight”. It wasn't sincere, it was stage chatter. Of course People.com played it up on Valentine’s Day when Keith was by himself fulfilling one of his professional dreams by playing Madison Square Garden. People.com talked about how Keith dedicated the song to Kidman. Had they paid attention they would have known he did the exact same thing every night. What they should have reported was how sad and forlorn Keith was that he didn't have anyone, say like his wife, to share this important moment with. That came on the rarely seen KU tube. I wonder if all the way back to February if something was amiss in the Kidmans’ world.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, the baby. But it’s not really about the baby; it is about these two people and this union that they have. Before January 8, 2008, we didn't see the Kidmans together for almost 40 days. Yes, there were supposedly Christmas parties, a concert for the end of the filming of the epic and a New Years boat ride but there were no at the time reports. That is significant.

Generally like Valentine’s Day, when something comes out as it is happening it seems more legitimate. Someone saying in March that they were on the boat with Keith and Nicole in the harbor seems about as true as those pictures that were supposedly taken at the time of Kidman’s 40th birthday last June. This entire village got a fireworks show yet not one person got a picture of it? Then in October when most were comfortable with thinking that this didn't really happen, poof a picture shows up. But those who know how to create illusions saw that it was faked. Much like a clip that is circulating now of Kidman and Keith in early March in Los Angeles. Keith is driving recklessly and Kidman is all covered up so no one can see her. Why?

This is why for many of us we are glad this tour is over - to have to hear him spout on the stage the same nonsense when dedicating the song. Although I do give Keith credit that often just before he sang “I think I got it right”, he would sing a few notes of a popular new wave song about masturbation.

That's what he has been doing since rehab, jacking off about his marriage. Verbal masturbation isn't too gratifying, it is often just a smokescreen on reality. And what is the reality for Keith Urban? In the next few months, all we will see and hear about him will be connected to the baby and his marriage. His music is over. Maybe not for a long period, but for the short term it is all about his personal life. Not a lot of people care and maybe Keith doesn't either. It seems he was the most alive when he was on stage connecting with people who knew who he was a long time before Nicole Kidman did. Could that be why he broke down in sobs singing Everybody?

Everybody needs somebody sometimes? There seems something very wrong in Keith and Nicole land and while we all know it’s not a real place and never was, the pretense was always passable and now there seems something far more sinister and sad there. No, it’s not the baby. But something seems off.

Why are so many who profit from Keith holding the standard line, his lawyer and his wife, staying close by? Well Keith, is that why Used to the Pain came back to the concert stage? Mr. Secret Message - do you have an answer? Or was the answer when the sobs seem to come to the loudest during this line, "Well maybe I have been too caught up, to see what you've been going through, all I can say is I am here now." Was that to us? To Kidman? Or to yourself? Take care, Keith. We aren't going anywhere and we hope you don't either.

I agree good blog. I also find it strange that there wasn't a single member of Keith's family at the final show. I don't consider Kidman his family either.

isitoveryet said...

His family hasn't been a part of the Painful tour here in the States - well - Mum was at Atlanta in 2006, but I really don't consider that part of the tour. Another thing I find fishy, remember the Sydney family picture with the BSE heart behind them? That was Keith's family - his wife was at the concert - why wasn't she in the family picture? To me, that says a lot. You would think Mum and Dad would be with him on tour for support if his wife can't be with him.

I have to agree that I am glad that the tour in support of this substandard album is over. I just wonder when Keith with find time to write songs, find songs and record when he has to fetch things for his wife and then after the child is born, take care of the child until a suitable nanny can be found. Even if he does record the next album in his homeland, an obvious desperate attempt to claim the hearts of the Aussie music industry, I believe any new music will be a long time coming. Especially if reports are true that NK plans on going back to work a short time after giving birth.

woriedmonkey said...

It IS super double fishy that there are no pix of Keith's family with NK (since the wedding?).... and if this indicates that Her Highness can't me amongst mere mortals like the Urbahns or that they can't stand her either it must be yet another stress for KU. At least on stage, he could forget about everything for a while. And whatever you think of the last album or how he has evolved ( or not) he is still an extraordinary person even if he has not lived up to the potential that some wish for him. As I write this I'm picturing him standing alone on the catwalk, alone with his guitar, surrounded by a screaming raging mob of thousands of fans (Atlanta,MSG, insert your city here). It bugs me too that he hasn't been more spontaneous on this tour ( yay bringing that 15 year old guitarist onstage at Rupp) and I've alreayd posted elsewhere my thoughts about how rehab and "program" can
turn the most indiosyncratic souls into "slogan chanting robots" even as it keeps them out of addiction. At this point I just wish KU the best and hopes he survives this marriage. At least I'm sure he'll fall in love with his kid and I've no doubt he'll be an engaged, funny, present and loving father..

notachance said...

Well, I have no doubt that Keith will be rejuvenated with the birth of his child. And that he will be everything we all hoped he would be as a father. I know I am looking forward to my first show to see him as a proud parent.

I am glad that this tour is over - I think it was drug out too long. He should've left well enough alone and not done this last leg with Carrie. I'd rather he just taken the time off and written songs for a new album, but we all know he couldn't do that, he needed to keep his name out there and the money flowing. I can understand the business behind some of these things. Hopefully his time with Kenny (pains me to say it) will actually do him some good this summer, coupled with the birth of his kid and we could see a better Keith next time out.

Sweet Jesus you guys....fireworks not seen by anyone else. Well guess what, I live in a 'burb of about 10,000 people and it's really small. Do I see everything that goes on or who's here or who isn't. Furthermore, does the outcome of my life change because I didn't see the fireworks or that I didn't see them someplace they were supposed to be.

Kevin Costner was here not too long ago, did I see him BECAUSE HE WAS HERE?? Hell no, just because you didn't see it or someone didn't report it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

If Keith and Nicole want to be seen they are but you can be sure if they don't want to be they aren't.

As for the tour lasting too long and the songs being substandard I definitely agree. Here's to another of his long time dreams coming true of becoming a 'Father' will inspire him to songs of yesteryear. I can hear 'Song for Dad' and wish for Keith to have that. Do I begrudge him for changing his music from Keith of early 2000 - no, every artist evolves and whether we like it or not it is their art. Like a painting - you like it, you buy it. I didn't care much for this last album so I didn't buy it.

Putting on my flame resistant suit...

where is his clip of Keith driving recklessly??? I know of one but it happened WAY before March. Some ppl saved some of the frames of it.

Didn't we all see the blog entry coming? It was inevitable really. And so predictable.

Claiming the marriage is fake? Check.

Making fun of the dedication? Check.

Claiming something is amiss, but being really vague about it, and saying Keith must be lonely, but he's not missing wife? Check.

I see a definite pattern here. Umyths starts off the blog by introducing a current event in the KUNK world and then reaches back numerous times to fill up space so that there can be commentary on said event. But its not really commentary. Its speculation about past events to presumably shed light on speculation about a current event. Its not getting anywhere, its chasing your own tail, its running around in circles. Whatever metaphor you'd like to use.

As for the boat party, a DJ who had an old connection to Keith through his dad's third wife told about that night. His reports were dismissed as a DJ wanting to get attention. Recently Keith went on the radio show, last time he was in Oz, and they had a good laugh, telling a lengthy story about what happened that night when too many people get up to sing at a party. What the DJ had reported months earlier was basically what Keith was saying. From the initial barbecue to the party. But thats not mentioned here.

The fireworks photo was not doctored as some would have you believe. A news show in OZ interviewed the couple who helped Keith organize the fireworks display. Thats never mentioned by the skeptics either.

But what is mentioned is a song about masturbation. I doubt most people know what that song is about. Do most people know what Mellow Yellow or Turning Japanese is really about? LOL But really this blog is "written masturbation" or as my old choir teacher used to say "verbal diarrhea". This blog hasnt come any closer to proving the marriage is a sham, proving Nicole is a skanky whore, proving keith's career is over, or that the pregnancy is fake.

Umyths, here's a reminder. Youre not proving anything if only the skeptics believe you.

isitoveryet said...

Here's a little bit more info on the fireworks interview. Her birthday was in June. Why was the interview with the owners of the restaurant done several months later? The interview was really pointless. Why wait several months to tell your story? The story is dead - who gives a crap at that point? It's like me saying I stood in line next to Hulk Hogan at the airport a few months ago - who cares? Odd timing, wouldn't you say?

realitycheck said...

News stations use fluff pieces to fill up time. I cant remember if it was prerecorded or not. Perhaps the couple couldnt make it at an earlier arranged time. They are running a restaurant which is a very hectic business.

Look, Im not going to come here and post things like "Cant you see how in love they are, why wont you belive them?" Im posting actual facts. If the skepti-haters want to be so delusional to think that everything around KUNK is an illusion, and that theyve paid everyone off from Sting to a couple of restaurant owners, they can have it. Let them make fools of themselves.

Casse Role said...

Talking about his parents, I do happen to find it a bit odd that they aren't around as they use to be. Okay granted, their son is now married, but I do wonder if they are "fond" of her or not.

Also this comment-

"This blog hasn't come any closer to proving the marriage is a sham, proving Nicole is a skanky whore, proving keith's career is over, or that the pregnancy is fake."
------

Makes no difference if they prove these things or not. Many of us interpret things in different ways. We can see how many magazines
come out that have her in them, we can see how well or not so well the concerts and cd's are doing. We can see that some fans have thrown in the towel and decided to chant along with "KENNY" or "TOBY"
instead of Keith.
As for the last but not least baby of the Urbans- I would hope she hasn't stooped this low to fake a pregnancy, but have seen articles where "others" are wondering where her bump is. lol

notachance said...

"It's like me saying I stood in line next to Hulk Hogan at the airport a few months ago - who cares?"

Well, you're right about that isitoveryet - who would care? That story has no meaning whatsoever to this blog or KU. Bad analogy if you ask me.

The interview, albeit months later, with the restaurant owners was still a relevant topic because it pertains to KUNK and it's newsworthy (term used loosely).

"Here's a little bit more info on the fireworks interview. Her birthday was in June. Why was the interview with the owners of the restaurant done several months later?"

Because isitoveryet, team kidman is an inept, sloppy and oh so predictable group of shameless hacks who couldnt put out a decent leak or plant without it being rampant with obvious prints of bothched miscommunication, inconsistancies and staleness. Id gather that about 3 or 4 people gave a damn she claims she "lost a baby' 18 years ago... ( she miscarried...so she claims in the vanity fair piece... no, she insists in marie clair a month later... it was actually a eptopic preg...but at that point who cares!) Urban has a dismal rest of the year I predict.

isitoveryet said...

Who cares if Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were at your restaurant?

realitycheck said...

dr. oz welcome! I for one liked the latest album. But i do think the tour went on too long, the leg with Carrie being totally unnecessary. I hope to see him tour with someone more like Sara Evans or Miranda Lambert again.

isitoveryet said...

You are correct maclen. There will be no more touring once he is done opening up for Kenny, and there certainly will not be a new CD in the next year either!

isitoveryet said...

How long did the Be Here tour last? Anyone? Anyone?

realitycheck said...

casse role, read some of the older blogs. Umyths claims they are all about debunking myths and proving the truth about Nicole and Keith. So yes it is very relevant because they havent delivered.

Tara said...

At least with the Be Here tour the music was worth the show and Keith changed the show a number of times during that tour which made it enjoyable.

isitoveryet said...

Exactly tara! It went on for what - a year and a half, right? I don't think anybody was ready to see it over - especially after they listen to the Painful album for the first time when it came out. We wished for the Be Here album to come back again!

"Exactly tara! It went on for what - a year and a half, right? I don't think anybody was ready to see it over"

Not sure if I'm in the minority on this, but that tour lasted waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long as well. Or maybe I saw waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many shows that tour - every single show was basically the same thing, including his one liners. I went at the start of the tour and thought it was great, the middle was blah, and then I was there for the end (and I almost didn't go because I didn't think I could stomach another same 'ole, same 'ole).

I will say that at least he changed up his opening acts each leg this time - learned his lesson from the BH tour.

You skeptics think no new music anytime soon? I think new album before the year's out. He can't win any awards resting on his laurels.

Casse Role said...

Oh, I think he may have some new music on the rise for sure. But, "not sure" if it will be along the lines of the last cd, or will he go for the gold and bring us something fantastic!

isitoveryet said...

I saw several shows during the Be Here tour - each show was different and unique. Can't say that about the Painful tour.

Imahick said...

At a BSE recently, he told them he hoped to have a new CD out next year sometime. Nope...I don't think you'll see anything this year. I suspect there will be no new singles for over a year ... unless they decide to put a fifth song out off the Pain CD.

He also told them that he likely won't be at the July shows he has booked with Kenny. So...if you have tickets in July, hope you're not going to see Keith. So why not just cancel so that people aren't disappointed?

Sadly...I think by the time he is ready to make some new music, he is going to have a very steep hill to climb to get back to where he is today...not to mention 2005.

This I agree with. When they want to go unnoticed they can. Which just makes it SO much more obvious when they have their planned photo ops. The latest being the two Nashville hockey outings. The walks along Bondi Beach - completely staged. Otherwise as you say, if they wanted to take a private walk on the beach, they would have chosen a different beach.
So when fans say that they are followed all the time or when KUNK complains about the papparrazi, I don't believe a word of it. They have shown that they are capapbale of flying under the radar WHEN THEY WANT TO.

You know it really doesn't matter what we all say on this blog. The fact of the matter is I just went and saw his 2 concerts in NC a few weeks ago and Keith IS NOT OK. I have been traveling to see this man in concert since 02' and I have seen him at the beginning of the tour, middle and end. I have never seen him act like the way he did - EXCEPT FOR RIGHT BEFORE HE WENT INTO REHAB. I said it that weekend and I will say it again, something is amiss in the land of the famewhores. I hope it is just that he is scared crapless to become a father, but, I fear it's because he is starting to feel the pain of losing his muse. He said to my friend in a BSE that "touring is creatively draining." Hmmm, Keith, I do believe that you wrote BE HERE while on tour and that was a pretty good one? I think you even won some awards or something? Reality is, your marriage is draining and your famewhore wife is sucking the life out of you. Keith, please do not throw anymore hissey fits at a show that I go to...I might just have to botox your face, restalyne your lips and throw a balding wig on you......

this has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with it. a man's career is in serious trouble. i care about him, couldn't care less how much money those 2 have....

and don't tell me he earned more than she did last year. i know that. but with a baby coming and no tour anymore, no new music, poor cd sales, AND no #1's off of the new cd, and not one new song on the charts anywhere shows me his career is in serious decline.

isitoveryet said...

Brad's album, which as been out twice as long as Urban's GH album, is higher up on the Billboard charts than the GH album. Kenny's album, which was out 10 weeks longer than Urban's GH album, is also higher up on the charts. Carrie's album, which also came out before the GH album, is maintaining at #5, which the GH is at #18. Garth and The Eagles' GH album is still beating Urban's GH album.

isitoveryet said...

I just realized this - both of Carrie's albums are beating Urban in the charts. Rodney Atkins' album, which has been on the charts for 92 weeks is just four places behind Kidman . . . I mean Urban in #22. How about Lady A and James Otto? There are a bunch of talented, fresh, new talent out there ready to take Urban's place in a heart beat. If he doesn't want it, it's their's for the taking!

Lisa said...

zoe- yes I believe it was.

I'm starting to wonder if he will end up bailing out of the tour with KC altogether. Certainly it wont last long for him anyways.

Realitycheck: I've never seen someone just set up a home right in the middle of a place that NOONE wants them. You lost the little bit of face you had going for you awhile back. Really, if this place is so beneath you & so out of your league, why do you LIVE here?? PROVE your self worth is more than everyone else's and... get the hell out. If you still choose to stay, that means 1) you actually LIKE us 2) you know you are an equal 3)you throw the same amount of mud everyone else does- leaving you no better whatsoever and 4)you love the urban myths & maybe you just dont know Nicole Kidman like you thought you did afterall.

You might as well admit what we have seen in you all along. Stop wasting your time. Peel off the skinny woman in a Prada dress costume because your cheap fake neon orange Kmart nails are ripping it & are showing themselves. Along with everything else.

I certainly don't know what you were drinking in North Caroline, but if you think something is not right with Keith, then you obviously haven't seen keith in times of trouble....take Vegas 2003, Lynchburg, VA 2002, or even Atlantia 2006. WT: I think a lot of our views stem from the constant re-creation that Keith is constantly doing throughout his career. Oh no he wants us to believe that THIS is true?? Keith LIES to ppl, that's how it's always been. he uses them to gain another step on the ladder & he's assuming that he's reached the top.

It's the same old crap. He WILL open his eyes soon & realize that she looked better from afar & things werent what they always seemed to be from her height.

I hate saying this & before I do, keep in mind that this is an opinion of someone that has been buying his music & following his career since the early 90's.-- Keith prefers sloppy trashy women because that is his world! That is where he is from! A lot of ppl judge the women & the women ONLY... the man seeks them out!! it's what he wants because it's what he IS.

And now he wants ppl to believe that he is 1)serious, 2)cleaned up, 3)sobered (and by GOD, this is the last time for that??? How many times has he been down this road too?!) and 4)married... is having something he never wanted in his life 5)a child & we are all supposed to pretend that we know nothing of his career??

We have ALL been used as another step in his ladder of success. At this point, he has treated us the same way he has treated his Princesses of the past. Excuse me if I take it a little personal. We see the man for what he really is now. And he has once again spit in ppls faces, cut throats & burned bridges for what he thinks is a higher thing. It's his PATTERN & it will continue. But THIS time it will be her taking a fall & I think that's what a lot of us are waiting for.

No I never thought I would marry KU. Dont get started on that BULLS&^%$. I would never want to. His re-created image that he used NT for back in Golden Road years was worth swooning over, but the man has a costume on. A lot of ppl just dont see that. He wants ALL areas of his life to be a show to watch & it's so damn hilarious at this point, I'm pulling up a chair & I dont owe you or anyone else a damn apology.

Let's see what he turns into next!!!

If I may use a very old saying, Where there is smoke there is fire, this is a phrase that fits the existence of Keith and Nicole.
I do not know of any celebrity or couple that receive as much debate, attention and curiosity as they do. There is no doubt that their world is not one that is filled with peace and harmony.
If I may use a few examples from the past regarding NK bahavior. My sister is married to (one of many) the first cousin of Danny DeVito. They are not close, but see one another at the holidays. The DeVitos have had a part time nanny that worked for NK and TC while they were married. She split her time between the two families. She still works for the DeVitos. My sister has often spoken to her about her job, likes and dislikes. She loves working for the DeVitos, but will speak about working at the Cruise household (and yes she did sign a confidentiality contract, but no longer cares)
SO many stories. One example, NK called the press (which she often did on a weekly basis)saying the family was talking "a walk" outside their home. After everyone was in place, kids in strollers, TC present, photographers and nannies present, NK arrived, pushed the stroller LESS than 5 minutes, cameras got the pictures, NK stopped, turned and went inside, she was "too hot" (this particular photo shoot used to be online, but I can't find the link, it is rather old)
NK would often be home for days without ever coming out of her master suite. The children would be home and lay on the floor outside her closed door asking to come in, but she never spoke to them for days on end. The help NEVER was to look her in the eye or speak to her first. As the children were a bit older 4+ years old both were in intensive therapy for severe "acting out" problems from neglect, they were attempting to get attention from her, which obviously never came.
This is just an extremely brief example of the not so shocking information I have been hearing about her for years now. The details and additional stories could fill a book!
Why am I writing this? It is because I do not believe that she has changed. This is why I suspect Keith is miserable. Could he have been in tears at the end of his concert because 1) it is bittersweet for him to be ending his tour, OR 2) because he does need someone, and she isn't there for him?
She charmed him because she didn't want to be alone, and when she had him, she became herself, which why she has earned the nickname of ICE QUEEN. If all this speculation is true, I wish he finds happiness, and I really don't care about her. I am hoping that she has learned to be a better mother this time around with what she considers her "real" child.

I can honestly say that I believe lightsourceyoga. From what you have said, I don't doubt that any of that happened. I'm guessing because of her neglect for the children, her visitation with them is limited for a reason!

WT: First beer I had was with Jerry, Chris and Chad after the show. And secondly, I never drink at KU shows. I am too intersted in watching Keith - drinking clouds my ability to watch him work. I have been to all 3 shows that you mention. I have seen Keith at his absolute worst and his best. There is something NOT RIGHT with him right now. And it is not because he is "happily loving his wife." If he is SOOOOOO happy then the music would be flowing from him like water. The pain album didn't even register the magnitude of talent this man is capable of. So, frankly, it's only a matter of time until he cracks.

Lisa said...

HoHo: I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I still think GR was the best album and BH was a wonderful following. It's obvious that NT did more for him & the music CAN flow when he is *really* in love.

Sometimes I think that Nicole tatt is really about her. You know he did always call her Nicole right?? And the 'Nicole' he refers to "saving" him... I dont think they ever came out & said that he meant Nicole KIDMAN!!

I apologize if I'm completely wrong. It's just something that has always been in the back of my mind.

Just a note on the background...
My sister has been married to the DeVito family since 1996. It is her husband that is one of his first cousins. Like I said, they see one another primarily at holidays, weddings, family events. My sister does live in Calfornia, but they are not in any way related to show business. She first started hearing these vague stories about NK at family functions in the late nineties. Then it was just a few hints about how "stressful" it was to work at the Cruise household and the DeVito's was like a breath of fresh air. She voluntarily left the Cruises when they split. Since the split, my sister starting hearing more and more about NK. My sister is NOT a fan of NK and HATES country music and barely knew who Keith Urban was (although she does now because I talk about him constantly) Because she knew I liked him so much, she started telling me more and more details about what the nanny has said over the years. Everything that this nanny has said has been over the course of about ten years and it has all been consistent and it is all logical and it all makes sense. Of course, the Kidman PR machine puts out the story that TC has brainwashed the kids so deeply into Scientology, that is the reason they don't see her or call her mommy. Maybe Katie Holmes, as odd as that whole thing is, has been somewhat attentive so they feel like they do have a mother, and not because they have been brainwashed. NK and her staff would love to have the entire public brainwashed into believing that she is the perfect wife, mother, actress and human being......sorry, there is just to much evidence to the contrary for me to believe she is anything but really wicked and totally self centered and Keith got caught up in all of it. Makes me sad to see the sadness in his eyes and the decline of his creative spirit.

What I want to see him turn into first is Kidman's EX husband.

Lisa--wonderfully stated, very good points and couldn't agree with you more!!

notachance said...

Well lsyoga - I'll give you the DeVito nanny info as truth. That much was written in the nanny tell all book, however nothing was written in there about TC & NK. I will also say that my husband has met Danny & Rhea on more than one occassion and they are probably THE nicest people in Hollywoodland.

Since Keith is the only artist who I see multiple times on one tour, are there artists who change up their tour from night to night??? I saw this tour 5 times and 4 of the 5 nights, it was pretty much the same (except that he finally dumped the extra-cheesy phone wave!). HOWEVER, I wouldn't really expect it to be different from city to city. While I am sitting there having heard all the one-liners already, 98% of the audience was there for the first time and honestly, I liked the one-liners the first time around. Is he supposed to be changing the songs, jokes, and production of the tour just for the small handful of wackos like me who spend way too much cash to see him over and over again?? I think he's brilliant. I paid from $40 to $90 to see the same show 5 times and I'll do it again next tour.

Lisa said...

n2k: I think ppl criticize him for it because he never cared what anyone else did at theirs & it makes him appear like he has lost his creativity, spontaneity, & originality. I'm sure you know that already so..sorry.

Bravo for continuing the support for his music!!

Interesting, post my friend. But believe me, you're quite wrong in thinking that 98% of that crowd is a first timer. 95% of that crowd is very much like you & the other 5% must be sitting next to you.

I took off my Urbanite suit long ago, hell I was never even a monkey. Actually, my first experience with the introduction with the monkey & last was the 2004 fan club party. Things got really out of hand after that & most of the real, we love Keith for his lyrics, they've touched my soul, made me run & lose a 100lbs, I send you flowers to every show I go to, (ok not every fan)have since dropped off the radar and know to only go to a show here or there.

Honey, you only need to go to one show to see the show. Am I going through Deja Vu here? The shows are the same, same jokes, which has never changed (church & your everything)and as I said the same shoulder roll in Better Half.

*It does make for better picture taking further down the line. Atleast you know what shots you want to get for the St. Jude's calender.*

It's pretty bad stuff when a 89 yr old gma is in line saying she wants to have a quickie with KU. As if the pigtails, buttons, & monkey lolli in her mouth wasnt enough?!

I tell ya- it will wake ya up in a heartbeat.

Or what about WANDA... the 350 pound pear shaped woman in tights that took it upon herself to shimmy all 290 pounds of her ass into a 'shake show' for Keith???

Oh the STORIES we could tell.

I will gladly sit on this board & say what I think & put up with the glitter burrnies calling me what they THINK is trash. Obviously, they have never been to a REAL KU concert or anything else for that matter.

I guess that's what gets under my skin so much here, is that so MUCH blame goes to the ice princess, yet no blame goes to him.

If you main issues really lie within the MAN himself and his music, his shows or lack thereof, it all went downhill WAY before her.

Skeptic or no, the music or lack there of has no bearing on her as far as I'm concerned.

LOL, and how very true. I think he even wore the same damn t-shirt for 3 of my 5 shows. Other than a sightly different camera angle, my pics look like they all came from the same show. I do like that shoulder roll though ;)

As we all do and will continue to do so, but I don't come here in anticipation of watching Keith's personal life blow up in his face, I come here to be entertained by some of the crazy crap I read here.

KUSNOB is right in that he had problems way before Nicole landed on his doorstep, he's been not so truthful with his fans since the Ranch days, that's nothing new. It's just that now that Nicole is in the picture - Keith's every move is plastered on the web, as well as the rag magazines because of who she is. Compared to before - he's a saint now!

I'm not saying a lot of what "lightsourceyoga" posted isn't true, it's just again we didn't hear a thing about Tom's odd behavior. And I find it odd that this "nanny" was even employed by NK/TC unless she was part of the Scientology workforce or one of Tom's family members since it's been quoted in several books and articles that all of Tom's and Nicole's staff and now Tom and Katie's staff are all Scientologists, and/or family members. I do know that Tom's sister was the kids nanny for a very long time and has even home schooled them most recently. And both kids have been in Scientology therapy since they were toddlers.

God those were the days Lisa, weren't they? Back when we were so innocent to the actual future of Keith and how different he would become? I swear back at that first FCP I never dreamed that I would be blogging about the decline of Keith's career and how his current music is so sub-par. I was just a smitten, loin-driven fan waiting in line for my M&G and my chance for Keith to call me "baby" and "sweetheart". And I am one of the normal people who has never lived in the "Keith is perfect fog" like so many of his fans do. I always knew Keith was imperfect and very naughty and it didn't bother me ONE BIT !!
I know that people evolve and change. Hell I have changed a ton since I first started listening to him. I have lost a ton of weight, had a baby, gotten promoted, traveled, etc and yet I haven't sold myself out. I am still me. Still love the same music, still create the same, still emit the same happy vibe I always have. When your life changes for the better, your life becomes better, your music becomes better, your life is not a hectic challenge or your job "creatively draining" (words straight from his mouth.) Keith can't survive in her world - he is not fit for the life of a famewhore. And it's starting to show just how much he hates it.

Personally, I always loved that keith was - as HoHo, puts it " imperfect and a bit naughty" ) even if he liked his women on "the trashy side". But ,for the life of me , I can't understand why he has been running on autopilot. KU the old one anyway, has got to have one of the sharpest and quickest wits around... as his many adlibs over the years will attest and even now an old glimmer surfaces once in a while. Oh well, maybe he's just not so hungry anymore. (But liking his women on the trashy side might explain Granny's recent episodes of horrid
semi-seethrough dresses' although being Granny her attempts came out all wrong).

woriedmonkey said...

I meant to say; just for his own amusement I'm surprised he hasnt mixed it up a little more. I don't think he's that blase... ok,maybe he has become a little like an actor doing his 400 th matinee performance. It was great to see him bring that 16 year old girl guitarist onstage at Rupp to fracture the routine, Likewise I saw him in San Jose when he debuted "Stop Draggin My Heart Around" and it was delicious.

"He also told them that he likely won't be at the July shows he has booked with Kenny. So...if you have tickets in July, hope you're not going to see Keith. So why not just cancel so that people aren't disappointed?"

NK has made it glaringly clear she doesn't like Keith's friends and doesn't want (either of them to have) anything to do with them. I'm guessing Keith took the concert dates with Kenny out of rebellion and have no doubt NK has been whining, complaining, etc ever since. If she can convince Keith to not go out with Kenny at all she will.

It would be nice for Keith to cancel ahead of time but when is he ever nice? He's become notorious for canceling at the last minute and since it doesn't seem to bother him he will probably continue to do so. He probably thinks there are so many other artists going out with Kenny it doesn't matter if he shows up or not and we all know he could care less about his fans these days. If he doesn't cancel, and just has Kenny announce "Keith couldn't be with us tonight" at the show it leaves Keith's options open. Should he get mad at the bbp, or she tells him to "Go away and leave me alone" he can still go meet up with the boys and play.

Could someone post the link about Keith taking July off? I would love to see this and see if something is mentioned at MV (you know it won't).

CJ said...

biteme, I think Keith said that at a Backstage Experience so unless someone got it on a cell phone camera (doubtful) it probably won't be posted online anywhere.

This is from someone on MV who had a BSE:

"Other people asked where his baby would be born, here or Australia and he was kind of vague on that, like basically he didn't know yet or wouldn't say. He was also asked if he would be taking paternity leave. He said he would and he would probably miss a show or 2 with Kenny in July. Someone said "I hope it's not July 5!" and he said he would let his wife know her request"

biteme said...

Wow! Well that sucks for those got tickets in July.

I've seen many of Keiths shows over the years and I have to agree on many points made here. He was losing "it" before Nicole came around. I'd say I started noticing a change at those March 05 Ryman shows.

He started to become too routine, almost bored. I just thought he needed a break. By then he had been doing about 6 months of his headlining Be Here Tour. The first few months of that tour was great because he was excited, headling. I thought the places he played were great sizes for him. He seems to lose something of himself in bigger arenas. I think he feeds off more intimate arenas.

I think the last cd being crap had alot to do with his personal life being hectic and in upheaval.

I'm not sure he can get his mojo back without doing some major changes.

I agree people change, artists change and grow, but Keith is going backwards. It really is sad. He's his own worst enemy.

As far as skanky girls. I noticed he picked alot of skanks. But, I attributed it to the fact that he really is insecure. He said he's attracted to self confident women, but he's intimated by them, like he doesn't feel worthy. So I guess it's easier to pick trashier women, it's easier than rejection.

I wish he would find true peace and happiness, but again he sabotages himself.
